Design Dilemma dining room Lighting

Dining Room Light Fixture?

I'm ready to start shopping for a new light fixture for our dining room. The rug will arrive approximately April 21. (See photo with sample rug) I need a fixture that will give a LOT of light. It will be on a dimmer. Due to the coved ceiling, it must be able to hang from a single chain. I would love your suggestions. I believe Groveraxle gave me a couple lighting suggestions in another post where I was asking about the curved wall. As you can see, I found a fantastic art piece to hang there. I'm also open to ideas for the other plain wall.

Houssaon, thank you for the suggestions. My style is transitional, leaning more toward contemporary than traditional. I might like the "sputnik"chandelier. I wonder if it might be too contemporary. Not sure.

It appears that your chandelier is too high. The bottom of the fixture should be about 30” from the table top. Since lowering it while it is that off center would create other problems, I''d be happier with swagging the light to the center of the table and lowering it.

I don’t like the tapered drum I think a large simple drum shade might work . BTW in a DR the shade should be hung at approx bottom of shade 30” from table top and since you will be seated in the space the view will not be hampered.I would like to see a bit of the rest of the home decor this is not decided in a vacuum. IMO you could do an oversized drum shade but I need some context, I find the chairs a bit on the light weight side for such a heavy table too.
