Comments (54)Personally, if I don't know where somewhere is I look it up, rather than proudly broadcasting my geographical failings. If one never sees these place names how is one going to learn? Same with anything I read here and don't follow. It's more educational for me and I can Google faster than I can type out a question which requires someone else to put in the effort to answer. btw - don't you get Poldark in the US? Also a lot of Cornish miners went to California in the Gold Rush. I'm pretty sure people living near the Empire Mine, Grass Valley know where Cornwall is. They still serve pasties there. Comments (22)I have every Ina Garten book as well. You can just blindly trust her recipes. When I bought this house there was a huge unfinished hole in the cabinetry, next to the stove. The was a rubbermaid can in the hole. When the older owner who had remodeled the place stopped by, his first question was - Is the trash compactor still there? What??? The giant hole has a purpose? I don’t understand why these things aren’t more popular. I would never live without one again now that I’ve experienced it. The solid little item worked great for my Mom until she lost her footing after her heart attack. She uses my walk in shower now but this handle is so close to the toilet that I am leaving it there for her....See More

I think that photo is a bit deceptive. Notice that I did not climb up on the rock behind me - that would have been too much for me. Since I had something behind me, I felt better.
We went on a much scarier hike in Sequoia National Park, attempting to go to the top of Moro Rock, but we stopped before we got to the top, even though it had stairs and a hand rail. High steep drops are what get to me, and I never climb anything that I think is too steep.
I did go to the top of the Space Needle in Seattle, however. I also went to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain and the Christ Statue in Rio, and those destinations are so well protected that I did not feel as scared as I did on Moro Rock.
7 years agoWent out to lunch with friends today. They were having crabby Wednesday special. 2huge lbs of snow crab clusters with corn and potatoes. Omg! I brought a bunch home for hubby.
