Wow, lcadem, that's quite a compliment! Thank you. The photos in this thread were all taken with a tripod-mounted Sony A7 with a Sony FE 55mm f/1.8 lens. Aperture set to around f/3.5, if I remember correctly. All shot with manual focus, which is easy on the A7. Many of the photos on my website were taken with other cameras and lenses, but the key is a sturdy tripod, a good lens, and tack-sharp focus. Thanks again for your comment - you made my day!

Gary, the orchid has some pink to it; it is an unusual color, however - and a big flower for a small plant Hydrangeas seem to grow well here iff - if and only if- you can shade them from the hottest sun of the day, and give them lots of water...I had to add lots of organics in the hole when planting...lots of peat moss :) Blackberry lily seems to bloom for a month or two...The rest of the year it looks neat and green - just like walking iris...I was thinking of planting it together with walking iris - this one, something always blooming :) I had the plant for a while - had to move it once as it was getting no morning sun and hot afternoon sun. Right now, it is getting quite a lot of morning sun, and partial - the rest of the day... Ginny, yup- it is a begonia. Beautiful small red flowers year round - but do not know the name! Thanks guys!If most of this stuff makes it through the winter next year and the following year should be spectacular!The bananas I will probably dig up so they will have some size next year,and its fun having them in the house over the winter,but I don't know they are finally starting to take off!
