help with making my MCM home more cozy
Comments (5)I would try sofa facing fireplace and perhaps a live edge sofa table behind sofa. That might add your touch. Or whatever look you want. Next i would look for great rug to anchor seating area in living room. Just get pad for rug to rug style so rug doesn’t move around. Use white rug for throw where it works best. I would send off your stair rail and balusters to get powder coated in matte black. Consider a deep blue for wall going up stairs to highlight architectural feature of stairway and height. Try those ideas out. Keep us posted. Looks like great home....See MoreHelp making high ceiling room cosy
Comments (2)The reason it feels this way is because all of the wall items are small. If you put larger art work on the walls it will balance it out. What about a larger tv you can put up on the wall?...See MoreNeed ideas for making this living room warm and cozy!
Comments (25)I think that you need more lamps in the room. Does anyone read or knit in this room? If so, a lamp and table between the chairs would be a handy place for a book and a drink. You definitely need something to anchor the couch, either a coffee table or perhaps the ottoman that you showed. I'm a book person, so I'd love to see bookcases behind the chairs, but that might not suit your life style....See MoreHelp, how do I finally settle into this small room and make it cozy
Comments (15)Suggest creating an on line room planner and test configurations. Hopefully you are buying pieces and not trying to make your things work, as the pieces you choose will make a big difference (also suggest keeping them light). Take advantage of upper right corner for desk. On the wall to its left, take advantage of vertical space or if adding a TV/needing a surface, see below. Look for narrow pieces to allow more space at foot of bed. Bed under window and probably only one nightstand. Hard to tell what might fit on the left side of room; if possible, add a smaller scaled chairs vs recliner and a pouff that can double time as a side table/be stored under chair and used as an ottoman. May have play around with best location....See Moredaneejela
