Condo living room help needed!
Comments (10)IMO if you want tranquil then as little clutter as possible is th first step so IMO the shelving needs to either go or be designed to have only very special things on the shelves and few of them . What is the scale of your drawing? We need to know sizes of spaces and also that painting is very traditional so do we assume all your furniture is also. IMO that alcove would be a great place to display the painting you love. It is best to mark the measurements on the drawing but now maybe just give us the scale you used. Are you keeping the carpet? The more info we get the better help you will get....See MoreLiving Room Help Needed
Comments (6)Here’s my vote; A nice solid gray area rug under the chairs and the couch. Yes to a coffee table, I agree. No to a rug under the dining table because it is so miserable to have to clean food out of a rug as opposed to wipe it up off of the floor. Kitchen cabinets; what about painting the top white as you suggested and the bottom cabinets gray? Just a thought for your consideration. You have a lovely condo. Looks great! Have fun! Best wishes, MAE...See Moreliving room help needed
Comments (6)What are those white wooden things under the two windows by the cat tree? I am assuming they are heat registers. I would get rid of the shelving units and get a swivel chair for near the TV. Also, I think you need a larger colorful rug for your room. I would take all the things off the windowsill. You need lamps and when you get your new chair, I would get a floor lamp or better yet, a small table with a lamp on it for beside the chair. Oh yes, you need a rectangular mirror instead of a round one. Some day when you can, I would get short sheer curtains for the windows. They let in light and look more finished than bare windows. Your couch looks comfy....See MoreRedesign small living room help needed
Comments (12)I would get a light colored low key rug bigger than the one in the photo. Put the TV where the sofa is now, and the sofa opposite that with 2 end tables. A swivel chair for near the back wall, and maybe an accent guest chair on the side with the tv near the dining room. The arched entry to the dining room limits how "sleek and minimal'' you can be, but you certainly don't have to be old fashioned or cluttered. Everything sen below is from All Modern with other colors available...See MoreKathy
