Any way to get Health Insurance now?
Comments (11)If she has a minimal income (which albeit has to be significantly minumal for a single person) she should be able to get medicaid. I would tell her though that that is not a pleasant process. My experiance (when I first had my daughter and needed it) was not a pleasant one. The people are mean and well downright awful and their first response is NO. I went in knowing exactly what I qualified for and didn't except no for an answer. I already knew what forms to fill out so when they told me I had to do certain things (which basically just make you life more difficult and are not a requirement) I told them flat out No, I don't have to do that I only need to fill out this this and this. Visit your state resource to find out the income requirements and such in your specific state. They are different for each. Also - I happen to find this as well In the US, there are a few alternatives that you may want to investigate. The first is Medicaid, if you financially qualify. If your income level is over the Medicaid limit, you may still qualify for Medicaid by using a spend down equation (usually the amount of income you receive over and above their income guidelines). To become eligible for Medicaid your allowable medical expenses must be more than your spend down amount. Expenses for medical care that may be considered in this equation include care from hospitals, doctors, clinics, dentists, drugs, medical supplies and equipment, health insurance premiums, transportation to get medical care, personal assistance services, and adult home help services that are related to your medical care. Comments (7)Just thinking, depending on the dent, could one of the auto dent-remover guys fix it? It might be worth taking a photo of it and talking to someone. As for being magnetic, there are several types of SS and they don't all have the same properties. 300 series SS are not magnetic, but resist moisture and exposure to chemicals (acids, etc) better than some of the others, so they tend to be used in kitchen appliances and equipment. You've probably seen SS cookware advertised as "18/10" or something similar. This is 300 series stainless and the numbers denote the chromium and nickel content of the steel. Some of the higher strength stainless steels ARE magnetic, but don't hold up quite as well to some of the sources of corrosion that are common in kitchens. They are used more for equipment, aerospace, and military applications where it is critical for the material to withstand certain loads or forces. The high strength of these steels is not necessary for appliance exteriors, so the extra cost and more difficult manufacturing processes needed to use them are probably not cost effective. I did a quick check on my stainless appliances which are from different manufacturers. The range, range hood, and refrigerator are not magnetic. The front of the dishwasher is, but the handle and inside are not. Just thought you might want to cheer DH up! Comments (4)Thanks for that info Cheddarchick..! I was wondering about the pod part in all of this.. Do I take the pod when it's still moist and "green" and put in the paper bag, and it dries there? (or maybe this is the part where I leave on the stalk).. At this point on my plant there are still lots of green pods.. Some have dried out and I've harvested seed from those, but lots remain.. Sorry for the questions, but want to make sure I understand what you've said.. Thanks again for the info!...See MoreUmm, so, now I want a new headboard-plus random discussion on daybeds
Comments (86)I'm not a fan of the original hardware. Your room feels elegant and that one, the bolt, feels to jarring and clunky to me. So, just to add more project creep, why not get a wooden one, paint it the same color as the headboard and then glue it into place? #6, #9, and #10 would be so elegant and understated. (PS- I googled "small wooden medallion")...See Morecpartist
