Design Dilemma dining room Home Decorating

suggestions for coordinating light fixture for dining room?

I ordered these pendants for over my new island. They are brushed nickel. My dining room is directly across from the kitchen and I need a coordinating light. I really love the look of the cluster pendants. I was worried something orb shaped would be too matchy matchy, but the fact that all the cluster pendants come in cognac glass and black or chrome may not be matchy enough. I have an 6-8 person table, and for the shape of the room I feel like the fixture should be a round or square arrangement instead of linear or rectangular. I also considered a crystal fixture, since the chrome part would be hidden on the top (there is an apron supported by pillars surrounding my dining room, which is another issue- finding a chandelier tall enough to clear the apron, but not too tall to sit on the table. I have 10’ 8” ceilings in there.) Any suggestions? Advice?

I love those raindrop chandeliers, but in my opinion they’re better suited for an entryway or stairway than a dining table. You could really do most anything in your dining room that would “go” with those pendants, but you don’t need to match. These types are pretty popular and pretty versatile.

It’s nice, but I like a more modern arrangement with those cuboid crystals.
I was thinking more like these, would these coordinate, even with the color difference in the one and the similarities but not quite similar enough in shape of the globe in the other?

We had a small dinette area off our kitchen that we preferred to use as a little sitting area. There was a chandelier centered in this small dinette area. We did not really care for the way the chandelier hung down over that sitting area but wanted to leave a fixture there in case we later opted to use it as a dinette again. We ended up using a semi flush light fixture. It hangs down a little bit but you can easily walk under it. If you used something like that it would provide light above your table when you would move it out into the room. There are many options out there if you just search for "semi flush". Really lovely space!! My first thought, was do you you need the window coverings? I like as much light as possible, but if a neighbor can see in, I completely understand. We did the panels on rings as suggested above for my parents slider. It was very easy for them to close at night. The linen look roman shades are very pretty, maybe even with some accent trim. Or woven wood blinds to pick up on your table? Considering your lighting, it doesn't look bad. The one over the table looks a bit small in comparison to your pendant lights. You can google for the 'correct' formula for size and placement. I tend to like down lights over an island if you do a lot of prep work. It keeps the focus on what you're doing so not to loose a finger! Per the dining light, agree on hanging it lower. I like your first one. The second photo looks to me like it would be a dust catcher inside that glass. So for me, I wouldn't want any sort of globes that faced upward, as dusting is not my favorite! Smiling is....;) (Elf joke-sorry!) So many options, just some examples...
