white subway tile for this kitchen? (photoshop help?)
Comments (15)Lyno! Thanks for the picture. It may not be exactly what I'm going to do (my tile is more like petra's) but nevertheless, it gives me a good idea of what it will look like. I have tried twice this morning to download a picture of the entire kitchen from photobucket. Each time I get a warning that my computer is infected with some virus and it wants me to download something (I don't download anything that comes up like that). Right now I'm scanning with my anti-virus software (which is updated and run daily). I think photobucket has a problem. So pix will have to wait. I have attempted to post this message twice. It is getting shorter each time. LOL The island countertop is going to be cherry. The floor is beige-ish tile (hate it, but it is fairly new and DH loves it. I'll just cover it in oriental rugs like I've done since it was installed.). The black DW is going to go but it will be several years. The will be a large darkish wood (walnut?) antique sideboard also in the room. I appreciate all your comments, suggestions and help....See MorePlease give me opinion on Kitchen/request for Photoshop help(PIC)
Comments (8)I'd be happy to add more, I guess I'm just confused about what's wanted. I don't see a thing about countertops, and I'm not understanding what part(s) of the island would be walnut/black. * painting them off-white * adding dark knobs/pulls * installing a dark granite, tumbled backsplash * stainless appliances (all done) * we would paint or stain that dark brown (like walnut) or black. So... would the whole thing be dark? Or just the parts that are, in your original picture, cream? Would the part that's painted be dark too? I know you said you don't have the same legroom, but I'm unsure of the materials change as well....See MorePhotoshop help needed on kitchen, please!
Comments (8)Cream cabinets with a glaze is very hard. I can do two things. I can paint over Squirrel's existing photo and dial down the opacity so the wood shows through (or else it just looks like cream rectangles) OR cut and paste a real photo of cream cabinets. (but that's hard to get the right angles) This is what I mean... Just painting with Ben Moore Cut and Pasted photos of cabinets online I tried to make extra crown on the painted ones but the cut and pasted photos were too hard to get crown on top. I'm sure Squirrel would have whipped this up lickety split. I still have lots of learning to do! Sigh!...See MorePhotoshopping--could someone please help me w/a kitchen?
Comments (18)What a nightmare! This is so ridiculous I'm embarrassed to post it, but I'm gonna do it anyway cause it took so long ;) Clone tool in PSP froze up and won't work. That's a first, and why I have nooo idea. You can see where it did part of the floor and then went kaput. So that's why the floor and back splash look crappy. (I had some nice tile for backsplash and a countertop, but since I can't clone it in I just had to flood fill those areas with color instead, darn it.) Can't remove the white valance, either, so I had to put the new one right over top of the original. Maybe someone with software that's not pitching fits can tweak it, I'm ready to pull my air out with PSP today. Mom's really going to have to use her imagination with this one!...See Moregigib_08
