White paint with "golden cedar" shake shingles

We're renovating a 1967 mansard roof house. The previous owners put on a CeDur shake roof in their "golden cedar" color, which is essentially a very warm brown. It's not the color that I would have chosen, but it's a virtually indestructible roof, looks decent, and was very expensive, so.... it's staying. The house is clad in yellow brick in a shade that I really dislike, so we plan on painting the brick. I know, I know, but really don't like yellow brick and I do really like the look of painted brick and think it will go better with the architectural style. Anyway... I find white paint somewhat confusing. We were aiming for a creamy white, but are concerned about the best undertones to go with the roof and the new front door, which is natural black walnut. Should it be a warm white? Suggestions? The house also has shutters, which we were thinking of painting a deep charcoal with blue undertones.
