Shake Your Booty ! (shake, shake, shake)
Comments (9)Jeanne, love your antique brass shoe boot you found. It will be fun to see what you come up with for Halloween. Wonderful pictures with it displayed. I bought a couple of purple boots for some of my decor this year while out ys this summer. I had totally forgot I bought them till you showed your new boot tonight. Gonna be some boot scootin booging goin' on this Halloween!!! I'm singing now...Shake, Shake, Shake Your Booty Punk...See MoreWhy Does My New Ceiling Fan Shake?
Comments (5)It's shaking because the blades are not properly balanced. Sometimes it's something as simple as the screws being loose. Check those first. (Screws that hold the blades as well as the screws that connect the blade holders to the main body.) If they're tight, next check the blades themselves, by measuring the distance from the ceiling to the blades. Measure at the same spot on each blade. If you find one out of alignment, you might be able to gently bend the blade holder to fix. If not, you can buy balancing weights at the hardware store or a lighting store to correct the problem....See More2nd floor FL washer shaking like crazy....
Comments (5)We have had vibration problems with our Bosch, located on vinyl on our first floor. We had the floor underneath reenforced with 1/4 inch plywood, removed the pedestal from underneath it, installed and removed anti-vibration pads (which reduced vibration but increased dancing), and reduced the rpms from 1200 to no higher than 800. So far, so good! The repair guy has been out at least 10 times in the 2 years we've had it for vibration alone....See MoreCan I paint cedar shakes/siding?
Comments (8)From the photo. it looks as though the shingle siding just hasn't weathered yet. The siding was probably new within the last year. Give it some time and and the colour will soften. You can already see that the shingles down toward the bottom of the walls (where they're more exposed to the elements) are beginning to gray. If you like the naturally weathered look, just be patient. It will take 2 or 3 years for them to weather gracefully. If you're impatient, shingles can be painted or stained, but at this point, you'd probably have to power-wash them first to remove the staining that has started as a natural part of the weathering process. A tinted stain could then be applied to the cleaned shingles. If you choose to paint, a primer should be applied before paint. Personally, I prefer the look of naturally weathered shingles, so I'd be inclined go that route. Not only does it look better in my opinion, but it requires less maintenance....See MoreKristie Garner
