I'm looking to buy ducklings but I can't find any local
Comments (3)I had the same problem for years. I wanted Cayuga ducks but didn't want them mailordered. Finally this year I found someone selling them on Craiglist somewhat local. Look around at other Craiglist cities near enough to you that you wouldn't mind driving. And you could put an ad on there that you want ducklings....See Moreso i can't find any multiflora
Comments (7)Steven....forget about Logee's...they're too expensive and their plants are waaaaay smaller. You'd do best by buying off of Ebay...there are a few listed now. Ebay also offers H. multiflora already in bloom, too. If I were you I would forget about cuttings...I'm sure many of us thought of offering cuttings to you, but H. multiflora is very hard to root even for very experienced growers. Gardino's is, as mentioned, a GREAT place to order from. Your #1 best shot is Ebay...but you'd have to open a PayPal account with a credit card or your bank account. At any rate, check out Ebay...I think you'll be pleased. As already said, H. multiflora is a great plant for you...it blooms constantly and with many, many peduncles of blooms...I've had as many as 11 peduncles at once..and each umbel had 12-13 blooms. An awesome plant, but no fragrance that I can detect. Let us know what you decide to do, okay?...See MoreI can't seem to find any nice pictures!
Comments (12)Could you post some photos? Just start a free album at photobucket -- and then click on each photo -- and when the HTML code appears under it -- click and it will be automatically copied -- and just paste it into the body of a message here at GWHD. ((thank goodness for that auto-copy feature! :) And let us know some direction for your choices of artworks -- formal? country? modern? Also -- with that much wall space -- you might want to consider hanging a grid of artworks -- maybe a set of 12 black-and-white photos of local architectural elements or fun shots. ((this is JUST an example!!)) Also -- sets of artworks (duos or trios) might work too. Or how about hanging wall shelves for pretty pieces of pottery? Check places like Pottery Barn or Ballard Designs websites for for IDEAS on artworks -- and do the same at art.com -- simply choose one of their categories that appeals to you -- and start browsing through the selections. IF you find ones that appeal to you -- print off the page -- just to keep track of trends that you like ..... and then can check around stores like Target, T.J. Maxx etc. Also -- check with local colleges and universities to see if they are having art sales or exhibitions ... always fun to go at look! Just some thoughts -- hope you don't mind! :) Jan...See MoreI was told it was a "sodi" tree and I can't find any info about it
Comments (14)Thank you, aurorawa! That sounds like very likely! I've been looking at photos of Clusia all morning. So...not to confuse things, before I checked back onto this forum, I went to another nursery early this morning (Mickey Hargitay) and showed the photo to the manager there. His guess was that it was a ficus, which surprised me. When Googling, I came across Ficus Microcarpa Roundleaf. It's also another possibility, as it resembles this tree. It is apparently a slow growing tree, too. What do you guys think? It could be either one. Although I am leaning towards Clusia, as that guy did say the tree came from Hawaii. Although Clusias are apparently fast growing trees, so it would make no sense for one to be priced at $250 for such a small tree....See Moremmp01
