Getting nervous ... Why Haven't i barred any fruit yet
Comments (1)What size pots, and how large are the trees? Did the trees suffer die-back? Are the trees root bound? High nitrogen fertilizers will grow leaves and not too many figs. Try pinching back new growth to encourage figs to set. By the way, trees are set back this season by about a good month, and main crop figs are just starting to sprout from leaf nodes. We also had a very cool spring which didn't help. Many fig growers in the cooler climates are experiencing the same problems. Try pinching to control new growth...this may work. Good luck. Comments (5)chandler315, if your are cutting back cold damage, you might be cutting off anything that might be getting ready to bloom. My NDM is not flowering or showing buds yet (just starting to show the start of new growth coming out), same with my PPK, but my Southern Blush is flowering now (Jan 02), my Coconut Creams and Lemon Zest have buds on them, my Mallika and Kent are about ready to flush (and I am expecting buds with it) soon. When I planted the Kent, it pretty much just sat there for about two years and hardly did anything, one small growth flush, no flowers. It seems to have finally started taking off this past summer. Comments (5)Gilly: I TOTALLY know what you mean....we aren't even close to being our new home (June 2010), and I am already petrified that I am going to find so many things I should have done. I know it always happens, but I tend to be rather "perfectionist" and have already sat awake many a night trying to think of anything I have forgotten! I keep trying to reassure myself that it will be fine even if not perfect....a friend has this mantra that she has been using around the holiday time..."better done than perfect". I feel like it's useful for sending out Christmas cards, but worrisome when applied to a new kitchen! Good Luck! So exciting--you must be over the moon impatient to get in!!!...See MoreMight you share your Blepharoplasty experiences?
Comments (19)I actually had to have a brow lift along with my bleph. My brows were lifted almost 1/2". It definitely made a difference in my vision-I went to get new glasses and found my prescription had changed drastically as a result of the heavy lids no longer impinging on my eyeballs. Because mine involved cutting along my hairline, I don't really remember much discomfort at my eyes-they just felt a bit itchy. I have no scars-my plastic surgeon was amazing-she got the incision just along my hairline and you can't see the scar at all. On my lids, there is no scarring. It was a bit red for a while, but it didn't bother me. Everyone commented on how good I looked-many didn't realize I actually had blue eyes, because they couldn't see them! I used to have to tilt my head back to see, that's how bad my eyelids were-and I wasn't even 50 when I had it done....See Morefrankginakay
