OOh the orange juice addition does sound interesting. The key to from scratch is flavor additions. I used to use a packet too..until one day I got brave and just started adding stuff that we liked. I've never added Rice Vinegar..I don't think...hmmm I'll try it..maybe tonight.. Fried Rice is on the menu tonight..I'm going to put on a pot of Jasmine in a few minutes to have it chilled for tonight..and make up my turkey pot sticker filling..to let the flavors meld today too.. Mmm mmmm I love asian inspired flavors!

Exported from MasterCook * Broccoli Rice Casserole Recipe By :Taste of Home Serving Size : 10 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 small onion -- chopped 1/2 cup celery -- chopped 10 ounces frozen broccoli -- chopped 1 tablespoon butter 8 ounces processed American cheese 10 3/4 ounces cream of mushroom soup, condensed 5 ounces evaporated milk 3 cups cooked rice In a large skillet over medium heat, saute onion, celery and broccoli in butter for 3-5 minutes. Stir in cheese, soup and milk until smooth. Place rice in a greased 8 inch square baking dish. Pour cheese mixture over; do not stir. The grocery stores' delis around here make a similar salad but they have cashews (and they use chicken) and celery in it. It's great. Besides the outstanding flavor, there's the differences in textures that contribute so greatly.
