Pink undertones will make everything look pink. Yellow will make the red look brighter and more intense. Green is the opposite compliment to red I would avoid pink and purple undertones. Depending on the shade of burgundy and the lighting, a bit of yellow, blue or green might work, but you might want to try to stay more neutral -- even to the grey/greige. I'm trying to find a Medium (not too dark, not too light) Grey exterior paint that doesn't have blue, green or brown undertones. Does one exist ? When it comes to architectural color, there is no such thing as undertones so you need to think about color differently. Every color belongs to a hue family including whites and grays. Here's an example of what that looks like. There's nothing hidden or "under" anything. You don't want blue, green, or brown. That means you should be looking at grays from the yellow to green-yellow hue family. The reason is grays, near neutrals, from this region of the hue family spectrum are most often perceived as being "just gray" with no discernible factor of hue. You are using Dunn-Edwards. Excellent choice. Dunn-Edwards is one of the few paint brands that lists a Munsell hue, value, chroma color notation in its fandeck. Get one of their fandecks. Another example of where to find Dunn-Edwards color notations --- try this, Google "Muslin DE6227 LRV" and you'll see the color notation is included in the meta data. Handy. All you have to do is look for grays with a hue family designation of Y or GY. Here's what that looks like. A gray with a hue family around 5Y or 6Y is a good place to start. Make sure the last number (with the hot pink arrow) is below 1.0 - this is chroma and the lower the chroma the more likely the color of gray will appear "neutral".

We have the daylight LED lights through out the entire house, so I think my lighting is okay. Here is a current picture (my cabinet doors are being completed today. Ignore the back splash the previous owners picked the finishes on this house with their eyes closed! The back splash will be changed next year. The yellow undertone doesn't fully come through in the picture but you can see it in comparison to the door. My plan for the door will be to paint the trim to match the cabinets and find a dark grey that compliments the room. Thoughts?

Yes, plain natural will work better than any of the other stained samples. But try some General Finishes stains. Minwax is low quality and muddy. Cabinet makers generally finish their own products in clean rooms in their shops. They don’t take in outside work for that. “Refinishers” are mainly opaque sprayers, as it’s not really possible to strip and stain anything for less than new would cost. Getting a durable professional grade factory tough coating is going to mean that you research and take that on. You need to talk with local professional supply houses, and find out what is available in a 2K poly. Research spray guns, to find one that works for you and your budget. And practice. Just like staining, getting quality clear coat job that will stand up to kitchen wear and tear takes practice. There are several cabinet “refinishing” groups on FB that you should consider joining.
