Last night it got down to 54. No problem. Only time to worry a bit if it gets below 28 for several hours. They are under the eaves, so there is a bit of protection. The taller, better protected ones are on the right.

I am so thankful that we did not get much in the way of snow and we had so much rain, the snow is already gone. We broke a record from 1884 for the amount of rainfall on February 12.

Since there is nothing but small lakes in my yard, just a picture of that cute girl, Carmelita, to brighten your day. :)

Coastal Maine - we had lost much of our snow although there was plenty of ice to worry about when walking. It started snowing here around 5pm and continued to rain and/or snow through the night. Still snowing at 10:30am. The snow is very wet and heavy with a crust somewhere underneath the top inch or so. The table above was dry and bare yesterday. Ah Winter.

Front yard this morning. You can see the effects of the rain inside the bromeliad. I'll have to put mosquito pellets in there, to keep them from breeding.

Just finished this 1000 piece puzzle.

kittywhiskers, I have done that one. Unfortunately before it was done, I had gone out and bought Oreos, and a couple of my old favorites, Milano cookies. Hadn't had either in the house in years.

Despite the dire predictions of rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow and icy slush it all turned out to be a big nothing. The snow barely covered the grass and the rain washed it away before 10 am.

Today is a day in the 60's, tomorrow, the 70's and then on Friday, a whopping 41 for a high. It's been a temperature roller coaster here.

Spring is coming. Big sissy's daffodils are blooming, my Japanese quince is blooming, the birds are singing... This is today.
