Help design master bedroom update
Comments (10)If the oak trim stays, the green on the wall will make the oak look even redder. Here is the quiet moments. Maybe install drawers under the window and eliminate the dresser. What is the purpose of the soffit. If it's not hiding something, maybe consider not building it. Consider refinishing the bedroom set. You'll never get to your inspiration picture with all that pine....See MoreMaster bedroom design help- please!
Comments (11)Thanks, Lauren, I'll take a look at those colors! We're literally startching from scratch, which ia what makes it so overwhelming. We had a modern farmhouse style decor prior, and since everything will be new construction I'm going a bit more modern now. I like blacks and whites, if it helps our bathroom with be heavy in Carrara tile....See MoreRug over carpet , color palette for master bedroom
Comments (50)Yes true... expensive is the safer route! i want to take a middle road though.. i m going to call the paint company who have been doing paints in this house for the previous owners .... they did the Venetian plaster so they would know ...they r also not the regular painters but high end :/ expensive ones .. but I will call them anyway to see what they can do about the paint. The window treatment I have looked into and it runs in thousands ... I seriously want to stay away from spending thousands on some plainish window treatment .. i would be happier if I could get away with keeping the curtains and spending the same money on a nice buffet for my dining or an expensive crystal chandelier .. what do you think is there any way I could keep them ? Or maybe go with a cheaper jcpenney type option?...See MoreMaster Bedroom design - help needed and appreciated!
Comments (0)Hi everyone! Me and my boyfriend moved together about 2 years ago and we tried to style our house in certain ways. We have bought some furniture for our bedroom that I love (2 bedside tables and a chest-of-drawers), a bed and we couldn't find a wardrobe in the same color, so we chose one that we thought seems ok (not so sure about that now :/). Below I'm attaching some pics of our current bedroom situation. I don't want to give up on the bedside tables and my boyfriend doesn't want to give up on the wardrobe, so everything we have now must stay (except for the curtains - we can change those). We want to decorate around but don't know how to start and we're pretty afraid of failure :( I know our bedroom doesn't look really great now, but I do hope that adding some decorations would make it more beautiful. The style that we would like to have is cozy, but keeping the glam vibe too. I feel like we're totally lost and bought things we liked without thinking if they really go together or not. If you have any ideas what we can do to make this space look better, please feel free to share: starting from lamps to any other decorations. Base color we want is gray, but we haven't decided to any accent color, so anything is much appreciated. P.S. We'll place the TV on the wall, so the surface of our chest-of-drawers would need some love too....See Morehousegal200
