Which pendant light goes with this chandelier?

I really want this chandelier over my kitchen table (66 X 40 table):

Lacey 28" Wide Round Black Chandelier - Style # W7307

It says in the description, it is black.

Which pendant would go best with this chandelier? Getting TWO for over my island.

Make sure your island pendants don’t have too much glare for someone sitting at the island. The style of our lights (different from yours) is the same over the sink and the island. The light over the sink was fine, but the glare was horrible when sitting at the island - no problem when standing around. It never occurred to me this was a potential problem. Fortunately bulbs with covered bottoms - which I had never heard of - solved our issue.

By the way my new kitchen will be white shaker with black pearl leathered granite. Black hardware.

Dyan, having just gone shopping for light bulbs, I would make sure that you can actually get pretty bulbs for that chandelier. Here in CA, the only incandescent they still sell are the candelabra type. The LED bulbs have come a long way, but many still look ugly in exposed fixtures.

I am hoarding 60W candelabra bulbs as CA will ban those soon enough! I have gone LED for all recessed and hidden bulbs, but my candelabra chandeliers are more for look/ambiance and not used daily.

Thanks for all of the input!!! It sounds like a pendant may not be in my future. I loved the idea of it but as I was looking at it more, I was worried that there might be too much going on there. I was having second thoughts and wanted to get opinions from all of you. Holly-Kay: we are planning on changing out the chandelier above the table to a bronze finish to tie in with the darker wood and fireplace things. But I see how a pendant above the sink might be too much. Snookums2: we removed the dark screens and it looks much better. I can't wait for everything to get started! I thought about tiling to the ceiling but wasn't sure since our cabs don't go to the ceiling. We are going to add a taller crown but nowhere near ceiling height. That may be the subject of another post. Nosoccermom: great idea about hanging a balloon. I don't have photoshop but maybe I could cut and paste something there and post again. Thanks for the suggestions!

I love your countertop slabs, they are stunning. Based on all the criticism I looked at your layout and I see a lot of positives. You have a sink for cleanup near the dishwasher drawers and stove, and a second sink for prep work. That sink is not far from the fridge, so you can grab an armload of produce and get right to work ... and as you work the kids who just want a drink or snack from the fridge can get it without coming into the work L. This isn't a studio apartment, it is meant to work for a large family and so yeah, you may need to take 2-3 more steps to get around but that is somewhat unavoidable. For lights ... maybe something like this if you want something bold that isn't adding a lot of color: Huddardton Forge Erlenmeyer Flask Pendant Just a thought. Congrats on the new house. Don't worry about the people here who enjoy shooting arrows of doubt and dismay without offering to help identify ways to improve things. Some people naturally look for flaws and love to point them out (instead of asking why something was designed this way vs that way). It can't be a fun way to live life.

This is a really pretty pendant from Hudson Valley Lighting. My parents have the clear glass version. I like the first one because of the black trim that mimics the other light.

I like the first one because they are both oil rubbed bronze and have the same Edison bulbs and are very complimentary.

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

The LED candelabra bulbs I saw in person, looked ugly when off and I don't want to see that during the day.

I am going to test the LED candelabra on my outdoor sconces, since I never get that close to them during daylight and the fixture has slightly tinted glass.

Thank you Irene. I'm still not 100% on these. I know the first one matches, but it reminds me of going to the dentist! haha My new kitchen will have some of the industrial look but I just don't know if those are my style. Ugh! Such hard decisions! I really want glass, because I do not have a large kitchen and want to keep it "open" looking above my island. Love the lanterns, but my kitchen is probably too small.

The first one probably matches best but either would work. If you want a less obstructed view over the island then I would use the clear one. Do use decorative bulbs. I have been able to find all kinds of deco styles and lumens in LED at stores and online.

My kitchen is small - only have room for two pendants! Table is next to the island. 9 foot ceilings - open to great room.
