broken rope hoya......how to save
Comments (9)I would root it seperately. But I'm curious - what is "rockwool?" That's one I've never heard of... A cutting can bloom without being rootbound. Seems like once the blooming hormones start raging, you can get cuttings from the same plant to bloom. But once it stops blooming, then it will probably wait until it has a good root system before it blooms again. Basically, they put their energy into making roots until they're good and established. I don't necessarily think they have to be rootbound, but the roots of Hoyas seem to do better if there's not a lot of extra space in the pot. Good luck with your Hoya recovering from its mishap. Comments (2)Take cuttings.... and hurry please! Sounds like root rot to me and you should repot it ASAP. Check it for brown mushy roots and clean them all off and while you are there check for mealiesand other such pests. My Carnosa did this and I repotted into very well draining soil and took some cuttings just in case. Doing much better now:-) Darn those greenhouses who don't pot plants in the soil that they need. Good luck Diane...See MoreTomato leaves shriveling up and dying
Comments (3)I can try to post a picture. It was getting dark by the time I'd thought about it. I'm sure to have more leaves like this tomorrow. I don't think it's too little water because the leaves never droop or wilt. They stand tall and strong....See MoreJade plant leaves keep shriveling and dying for no reason
Comments (12)What white spots? I don't see any white spots in the picture. I see a weakened and sick plant that's being sucked on by sucking pests. Since you cant see them easily, and since you can see little dots of discoloration, these are all indicative of spider mites. They are very hard to see. I don't need glasses but I can't really see them in person. I identify that I have them by the symptoms they cause and treat accordingly. The stipling mentioned in the first reply is not talking about mineral buildup. I do see mineral deposits from hard water but that can be wiped off....See MoreAbby Mila
