Do you blog your gardening?
Comments (62)(((Cross posted this on the 'Conversations' side yesterday)) I've been thinking about starting a garden blog lately. Not sure if I will actually do it or not, still pondering that one! I'm pretty ignorant about the ways of blogging though... I did get some of my questions answered on conversations, except for the one I am having the most trouble figuring out, how to manage pictures. I have ALL my pics on Photobucket. Shall we say hundreds? I constantly upload pics to certain albums (such as one for Perennials, organized alphabetically to coincide with my personal plant records etc), delete old pics and such. Trouble is the html links all get broken when I do this. How do you guys manage this problem? I would hate to forget, shuffle things around and then end up with blank pics on my blog that I would have to go back and fix later. I don't want to have a secondary hosting site- I would prefer it all on my current PB account if possible. As I said, I am challenged in this area, lol. Only way I could figure of doing it is to create a separate album for blog post pics on PB, and then sub-albums for each of my separate posts from there. I could copy the pics from my other albums and move the copy to the sub-album so the link will never be broken to the blog and I could still move or delete the originals (in the original album) as I liked. What do you think? Or is there a simpler way of doing it I have yet to think of? Thanks for any tips you can give! CMK...See Morefavourite grouping of 3-4 plants in your garden
Comments (12)Stressbaby great name! It may be cliche but oh my my it is a great grouping. I was really loving my yellow leaved Acorus with purple leaved ajuga tucked underneath it and light blue and white violas coming up through the Acorus. I also loved my climbing rose Dublin Bay with a purple clematist climbing up into it with Panicum 'Heavy Metal' and Salvia uliginosa hiding its base and weaving through the tangled mess....See MoreIf You Don't Want to Blog but You Want a Page for your Garden
Comments (7)Nell ~ I love your Azalea walk. Very soothing. I need to make some cuttings from my azaleas, I have two the same, pink and white flowers. Between my blog and my website I don't have time for making more, free or not. It's all I can do to keep up with those two things and reading everyone else's. Maybe this post will inspire others to make pages of their gardens and blooms though. Especially now that it's cold and people are staying indoors more, dreaming about their gardens come spring. It was 48 and felt like it was 42 this morning. For us that is COLD. Have a lovely day ~ FlowerLady...See MoreWhat is your favourite public rose garden?
Comments (10)I wish I had seen all these wonderful gardens. Apart from the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the Bronx rose gardens, I have been to very few. I was very impressed by the Barcelona Rose garden when I saw it 15 years ago. The rose is Barcelona's official symbol and they take it very seriously, and of course their climate is superb for growing roses.. The beds were arranged chronologically, as I recall, and the collection was comprehensive, well labeled, and spacious, the model of how a rose great garden should be IMO: namely both historically informed and delightful. But I think the BBG is also great and improving yearly. I'm so glad I'm able to hop over there whenever I feel like it. Meantime, I hope people will keep posting pictures of the wonderful gardens they visit. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g187497-d2625535-Reviews-Jardin_de_Rosas_de_Cervantes-Barcelona_Catalonia.html#photos;aggregationId=&albumid=101&filter=7...See More- 5 years ago
