This guy or one of his relatives carried off a squirrel the other day. It's a sound I wish I could unhear, but hawks gotta eat too. Nature is brutal sometimes.

murraysmom, your photo makes me feel better about the incident that is still bothering me. It's good to know that sometimes the squirrel wins and lives to see another day.

I did not have a picture for this category. Well just now that evil killer hawk that watches us constantly and attacked my husband in our back yard and is the reason why we and Mia can no longer go in our backyard, posed for a picture. This is our bird house that was full of babies till the hawk ripped them out of the nests and ate them sitting on the fence.

I wish it would move to the forest and leave us alone! It is insane, it does crazy stuff!

Raven, look up environmental conservation and ask an en con officer for some help. I called a couple of times. They couldn't be nicer or more helpful. You shouldn't have to give up the use of your property, unless the intruder helps pay some of the taxes on the property. :)
