The language has been present all the way through the series.....nothing new. If it bothers you that much, don't watch. To me, it is just part of the feature of the show and blends in enough to be just part of the dialog. Lordy, when you have a show that is centered around selling vibrators and female masturbation, a few F bombs are no big deal!!

There's always the Hallmark Channel if pablum is all your sensibilities can tolerate.

hmmm I don't know if I noticed the language being worse than before. I work with teens and the F bomb is their favorite/only adjective. I spend most of my days objecting to it. Maybe I am auditorally saturated and didn't hear it. LOL The show is naughty from start to finish.

I did actually notice there were a few more than I remember. I love the show so much it's not a big deal to me.

There is nothing wrong with wishing that the language weren't there. Everyone has their saturation point with swearing.

I am too used to it given that DH works in the construction industry and the language isn't all that civilized. He refuses to swear because he does not want to sound like his workers.

I wonder if you listened in another language if the swearing would have the same impact. Sometimes I listen to my shows in French or Danish. It helps when I don't like what I'm hearing.

The writers think it's cute to see old ladies using the F word. It doesn't shock anymore but it's not cute either. All shows do this now.

I wish they'd focus on Grace and Frankie's relationship, and to a lesser extent, Sal and Robert's. After the first season, the writing hasn't been the greatest. The four children are all really boring and a few are even unlikable, especially Brianna who can't be on-screen without posing stiffly like she's in a beauty contest. And the stereotypical black gay realtor was way over-the-top, even
offensive. I don't think we need gay caricatures in 2019 to make us
laugh. They need some really good supporting characters whose side stories add some interest to the main story.

I noticed more of it than usual this season and am turned off by it. It has not held our attention and we are not watching the remainder of this season. Our choice.

Definitely more F-bombs in this season than before. At first it was funny and then it just seemed repetitive and contrived, but I enjoyed the rest of the story anyway. I just ignore it.

I just watched a trailer on IMDB, and the show looks interesting to me, but I do not have Netflix and will not be getting it again. I do like Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin a lot. I met Lily Tomlin in San Francisco at a Divine show. She also went to the same bar that I went to.

You might be able to get it on DVD from your local library.

Mayflower yes it was one of the Richie girls Nicole is her name. I hope they keep it fresh and funny as it has been. It is one of our top favorites.

I thought it might be Nicole but it looked too young to be her. She's 37!

I love the show but also have thought the f word is way over used. I also watch The Ranch and the f bombs flow out of their mouths like nothing.

Lot of thin skins here :-) There was nothing inherently rude in that comment, if a little on the brusque side. But the point is valid....if that language offends you that much, watch something else! No one is forcing you to watch it.

And it is nowhere near used as frequently as "every tenth word"!! I'd have to go back and rewatch but I'd doubt if it was as much as 10 times in a single episode!

Thanks for the DVD info - I decided to order it from Amazon. It would take me too long to watch the library copy, as the DVD for season 1 has three discs.

I don't like hearing the F bomb either - it can get tiring - but I take it in stride. I could not watch a movie with my mother that had that in it, however, and I do not use swear words myself. My mother and I once tried to watch A Fish Called Wanda, probably on VHS, and when Jamie Lee Curtis used the F bomb, we had to stop watching it, but I watched it by myself later.

We watched the first episode last night, and I did not notice excessive bad language - maybe that shows up more in later episodes. I really liked the first episode and look forward to watching more of it.

The Jane Fonda character reminded me of my sister a bit, whereas I am more like the Lily Tomlin character. I haven't connected which one is Grace and which one is Frankie yet, but I think Jane Fonda must be Grace.

I just started watching the series last week and am not offended by the F word because I use it myself(around the house).

I use it too but it's usually reserved for expressing anger or outrage about something (not at my DH or others).

The first season of Grace and Frankie is the best. The F word must be showing up more in the third since people are noticing it.

We're watching Bosch. It's a detective show that isn't usually full of F words. Three detectives are standing around. The first one, a male, upon acting surprised, says "F me", which is even worse than just the eff word. Then the female detective says the F word. Then the first detective says the F word again. Three lines, three F words. That's excessive.

I agree the first season was the best. Have also noticed a lot of F words in the current season. Not necessary, but also not a big deal.

I really enjoy this show although I think the Lily Tomlin character is a little too wacky. The final episode of this season really left me wanting more. Wonder how long to the next season. As for the F bombs, it’s hard to find a Netflix series ( or HBO, Hulu, etc) that isn’t full of that. I just started watching Russian Doll on Netflix and I swear it is every other word. It’s so common it’s kind of lost it’s punch.

Anyone else wonder what was going on in the very last episode? I was about to see if I was in the wrong season. Quite strange, it didn't make sense for a while.

which is why there's not much on regular TV that I watch.

My boss is in her 80s, and she uses the F word all the time, and so I'm used to hearing it from older women.
