BE leary of composite sinks and Granite type sinks. They have had many problems with breakage and fractures. Not saying BLANCO direct but the industry as a whole. There is a reason that 60 to 70% of them if shipped single packed end up cracked and being returned. I deal with many fabricators and most of them shy away from it. THERE ISNT anything stronger at the moment then a 16 GA stainless sink on the market. One of the leading lines avaialble through your fabricators is ARTISAN. This is a commercial grade and one of the best available to you. Remember a lifetime warranty on a composite is only as good as the fabricator installing it. Also the bond from the composite to the granite in many casses is so strong if it needs to be taken out to be changed it must be chipped off possibly damaging the top its under. I wish I knew how to post the pics. I was unsure about the undermount, until the Cambria installer came to make the template, he had a glack silgranit sink in his truck, after looking at it in the sunlight, I was hooked, this is a beautiful sink. But very worrisome and iffy on the undermount install. He told me he had never had one complaint on the many had had done. After two days of back and forth on my part, he said "just do it, you will love it". So, I did it. And I have not regretted it, it is beautiful. Wish I was not such a dummy when it comes to uploading the pics.

Mine's the Blanco Diamond and I really don't know what the difference is other than the drain and the fact that the Precis can't be dropped in (mine's undermounted). When I was ordering I just didn't even know there was a Precis and I researched sinks quite a bit. I do remember that at first I thought drop-in was the only way to get one but then read that the drop-in could be undermounted. Now, if I had it to do over again, I'd still go with the Diamond just because I like having the drain over to the side. I can pile dishes up on the left and still have access to the drain and disposal. You can do that with the Precis if you have a grid and possibly even if you don't, but I didn't like the way the grid took away from the beauty of my sink and just never felt the need for one. I bought mine from Faucets Direct along with my Moen Aberdeen faucet and soap dispenser. It arrived very quickly, shipping was free and there were no issues with cracking or anything. I'm getting my Culina in next week. I think what you heard was general reputation. This faucet has great reviews. At first I was going to get a Grohe or Hansgrohe (which are more popular) but I personally think this is a better faucet than anything in that range from either of those vendors. The magnetic pull is really nice. Of course, mine isn't actually installed yet. :)
