Blanco Silgranit drop in Kitchen sink but undermounted

I am in process of doing Kitchen remodel, orignally it will be an undermount sink, but we have to install a air gap for the D/W. If the D/W line is plugged, the D/W water will back up and flood the countertop. I thought if I can buy a drop in sink and undermount it and have the faucet and air gap install directly onto the sink, this will divert the water into the sink instead of the counter top. Anyone has done this with the Blanco Silgranit sink? Pictures and suggestions would be very helpful.
