Is the white bird riddle - snow?

I was thinking raindrops for the river one. Snow makes sense for the white bird. And eyes are the first thing one would open.

. I had the snow one right. I thought Happy's was the door but I think Rusty is right on that one. I had the same answer as raee for the river one or it could be grains of sand.

Snow or more properly snow flake is right! Very good Rusty, you have a riddlers thinking and good for you share as well.

Marbles walls is a classic Egg riddle. It is the no doors or windows which is the give away. I know some wonderful egg riddles. Occasionally no doors is a nut.

So Africa. Read the whole riddle. There is a strong hint in the wording. This is pushing the riddlers code.

On line riddle collections are almost always either conundrum or word puzzles. Still good and fun to do.

Stealing a suggestion from one of the puzzles in an Escape Room I did over the Christmas break. You could give a list of cities, and by plotting the course from one city to the next, draw the letters of the combination on a map.

Many years ago in college for a girlfriend's birthday I made a sheet of puzzles or problems, each of which when solved gave the name of a present. I refused to give any hints and she only solved about half of the puzzles. We broke up not too long after that, but it probably wasn't related.

The river one is killing me! I even tried to google it and couldn't find the answer! So my first guess was canoes, second, sun rays. Please somebody guess it soon if I'm incorrect! I can't concentrate on work until I know the answer!

Do the things that come down to the river come by land or sky or is that the wrong way of thinking?

Yay me! (I think). No, no riddlers way of thinking here, but I do try to find ways to exercise my brain, hopefully to ward off age related types of dementia. Not sure if it's of any help or not, but it's all I know to do. I'm afraid this river riddle is having the opposite effect, though. :^)

As hard as this one seems to be, I think I will definetly have to use it. If we ever get the answer.

Shouldn't a good riddle have only one answer though? If an answer works even though it's not the one the riddler intended, it's not a wrong answer.

There is only one right answer. The suggestions so far are wrong and when you get it if you do you will immediately go OH. I see. It isn't a word puzzle. It is a picture. A place is being described. It is winnowed down to its essence (the best riddles) but it is a description of a place. In Africa. Ask yourself why Africa.

Remember some people hunted me down after three years to get the answer to this. I actually got it fairly easily when I first heard it but I was thinking riddles at the time and I am very visual in my thinking. I did not tell the people who traced me. sorry.

When you have a nut riddle it can have no doors or windows but there will be something else that identifies it as a nut and not an egg.

"none ever drink" to me rules out both plants (drink from their roots, or they wouldn't be there at the river) and animals. So it has to be something inanimate, like roads, grains of sand, dirt (couldn't be "many of them" though could it), rain. Arrows/spears/bullets fired by hunters at the animals at the river?

Tourists, or people, (many) go down to the river (tribunal ceremonies) but none ever drink (participate). And I promised myself last night I wasn't going to read this thread at all today. . . . . . .

Exotic animal feet? Without the Africa hint the answer really could have been a number of things. So, apparently the answer would be things only found in Africa. If no one

I think the original version had to have been many of them GO down to the river not COME down to the river. Grammatically "come" doesn't work with footprints and tracks.

Whew! ! I'm sure glad that one has been solved! Never in a hundred years would I have come up with that answer, especially after the Africa hint was added. I think I need to give up riddles.

These are the five I think of using. Except for the “tracks” they seem really easy, but at least the first letters of the answers spell a real word unscrambled. If you have a harder one with the same first letter, I would gladly exchange. Not very inspired solution word either. Seems my brain is a bit scrambled, too.

Ta da! Finally a puzzle box with easy and clear instructions on how to set it up. You can probably tell I am still not over the Viking box from Christmas. At about 34 dollars, it wasn’t cheap, but since it is easy enough to reset the code and big enough for something other than a gift card or money, I am pretty sure it will make the rounds in the family for a while.
