Waterfall Edge with Ceramic Tile vs Luxury Vinyl Planks
Comments (4)You need a solid surface for your waterfall to sit on... and floating floors must be allowed to expand and contract- you can't place cabinets on top of it. So the safest bet is to cut the tile just in front of the waterfall and leave the tile underneath in place. You will need to leave a 1/4" gap (could be slightly smaller, check the manufactures instructions) between the new floating floor and the edge of the island, so you need to be able to live with the gap or install baseboard. I think a simple square baseboard that is about 3" high could look "ok" glued along the bottom of the waterfall, but certainly not ideal. Your best bet is to go with a wood look tile instead....See MoreReviews of Lifeproof Luxury Vinyl Plank
Comments (6)Thank you for your response maddielee! We are just having a hard time deciding between the burnt oak and the shadow hickory. The burnt oak in the sample that we got looks very different in your picture as well as some of the few I have seen on the web. It looks more darker and richer. The sample has a more distressed look and it looks lighter in color. I know you mentioned in your post that you are currently away from your home. If you are going to get back in a day or two I would really appreciate it if you could post a few more pics! We need to decide in a day or two. Thank you!...See MoreEngineered Vinyl Plank (EVP) vs. Luxury Vinyl Plank vs Engineered Hard
Comments (24)@V M sorry, just seeing your post above. We are just now finally breaking ground on our home so I don't have pics of the flooring to show you from my house. I will come back and post when I do but that will be some months from now. But we are paying, I think, 15K for our Multi-Length Rigid Core SPC floors in color Sandhill. Our house will be 2975 sf and this floor covering will be throughout the home, except in 3 of the full baths and the utility room. I'm not exactly sure how many square feet that leaves but hopefully you can do some rough math. Everything goes through my builder so I don't have an exact price per square foot to provide you. I also am not sure if this includes labor to install....See Morelife proof flooring dusk cherry
Comments (2)Late to answer - but here is the lifeproof cherry dusk for others who may be looking. The color is ever so slightly lighter and less grey than it appears in the picture....See MoreSamantha Peruto
