Gymea lily anomaly

Corey Brown

Hello, I've been picking gymea lily leaves for work for four years
I've seen thousands of this plant in the peats ridge, mangrove mountain, Kulnura region. As well as in Sydney when I've visited there outside of work. My boss who has picked them for decades has not seen this phenomenon either.
These two plants in particular are like nothing I've seen before. It seems to have sprouted new leaves at the peak of the flower stem (instead of flowering like usual and eventually having the stem go dead and fall)
