Lowe's Portfolio 27' LED Under Cabinet Strips
Comments (7)No we aren't finished installing yet. We have all the lights mounted, but needed some other interconnect items and had to place another order. They are on the way and hopefully will be here by Friday. Then its just a matter of connecting them up. (holes already drilled also) I do have one section of 30" lights (a 24" and 6" joined together) to the left of my range, but that's just about a 1/10 of the project. I am loving that part so far LOL! play with it all the time, dimming etc I leave it on full during the day and dim it at night. Its a nice white light, and makes my light over the range look wimpy. I guess we're not looking at the same lights at Lowe's. What I saw was like $60 for an 18" bar, and I'm paying $40 for 24" bars. BUT,this price is not their advertised price. They did discount them to match the price on another website....See MoreJuno under cabinet LEDs: what do you think ?
Comments (2)You don't say if you are trying to meet Title 24 in California but just in case... The 3000K warm color LED's from Juno don't meet Title 24 efficacy requirements. The 5000 do but the entire track system doesn't meet title 24 because you can easily change the lamp sockets to hold something else. Juno has new stuff coming out end of the year. I don't know the lumen output per LED. We have a sample of this but haven't messed with it enough since it doesn't help with CA Title 24....See Morerecommendations for under cabinet strip outlets and lighting
Comments (3)I don't know what an "invisible" lighting effect is. I have strip LED lights under my upper cabinets and they provide great task lighting on that counter. We used inspiredled.com, as did many others on this forum. Great customer service. Others have successfully used environmental lighting, and still others have used a variety of more expensive brand names. Inspired led will help you design what you need by email, and it's really inexpensive....See Moreunder cabinet lights - lighting bar or led tape light?
Comments (6)Do your cabinets have molding (example) that is attached to the bottom of the cabinet box to hide any lights and wires you might attach there? If not, I'd use tape lights in a channel as that will be the shallowest solution (hide the required driver inside a cabinet). Otherwise, linkable light bars shallower than the molding would be a good solution. Be sure that whatever solution you choose is dimmable from a wall dimmer. I'd skip the lights under the cabinets. They'll just highlight the dirt on the kitchen floor....See Morestudly
