OT or not OT that is the Question...it is for KRISTY!
Comments (1)Lol, its not off topic. There are brugs in there. Are you kidding if I remember the name out of all these, lol. I know I gave you a frosty pink so if you don't have one labeled that its that one. The one you think went to heaven is still green so don't throw it away. Repot it and it might grow some more leaves. That was a named on I lost the tag to. It was nice to have you come to my yard and all the things you got cuttings of. Its hard to know what someone might want a start of and so much easier if they look and say oh I like that. That ginger grows so good you can almost watch it growing, lol. I'm glad everything is growing so well. You really helped a lot and did a lot of hard work in my yard so it was the least I could do letting you share my extras. If you ammend the soil at your house with a ton of compost in some raised beds they will actually do better in the ground and grow faster or at least mine in the ground are here. They are really taking off! Gotta go get ready for work. The house is finally cooled down. I am so very happy, lol....See MoreOT but about this site & what I just saw Here
Comments (7)I haven't seen it since, thanks folks for answering my question. It's not that I'm such a prude, per se, it's that THIS is not the place for that. Also, it's a close up enough than if one saw the ad one would understand immediately the nature of my objection, it verges on pornographic. In writing to GW about it, I asked that they respond to me in writing, I'll see if they do. I often get small ads on the side that seem context sensitive & some banners across the top where this was. Stush, I looked for where to adjust the Ads & I don't see it in 'Settings' which is what I find in the upper right on my monitor. Thanks again folks....See MoreOT- question for anyone near Seminole, OK
Comments (14)Perhaps this is asking too much when buying from people far away, but I would also like to see the place and the parents before making a final decision. I would want to know: Are the surroundings clean? Are the puppy's parents good-natured? Are the puppies being raised in a home atmosphere, or is it a puppy mill with lots of cages? Do the dogs look healthy? You are smart to be doing what you can to check out the place beforehand....See MoreOT.........is this Australian ?
Comments (6)And the emphasis was on the the first syllable : CRO-chur. Whereas we say cro-SHAY Perhaps there was an aversion to sounding too French ....or simply another version of the word, such as valet. In the US many who are unfamiliar with the French pronunciation will say " va-let" like wallet. There are other words like foyer ( should we say " foy-yay" or "foy-yer" ) . However, with those words I am aware of what is being said. CRO-chur is just foreign to my ear and my internal editor wants to correct it. My favorite mispronunciation was in a bar and grill where I overheard the woman in the booth behind us exclaim " Oh look ! They have Jah-LAH-pen-oh Poppers ! "...See More- 7 years ago
