Australian Shepherds, questions
Comments (22)Carla, my sweet Splash is an Aussie, and I would not own another breed. The key to owning any puppy is investing the time and energy into training them. Any pet is worthless unless you survive the puppy months and train them properly. I agree about Caeser Milan, the Dog Whisperer. Second, Aussies are very devoted herding (working) dogs. To be happy, contented pets they MUST have a job to do. My Splash keeps a vigilant eye on the back yard for critters and comes to get us when she sees one. She is equally capable of cuddling up with us on the couch in the evening while we watch TV. Aussies can be sturborn, willfull, bossy animals. I see that streak in Splash ever so often. The only thing that keeps her in line is the occasional reminder from us AND her extreme desire to make us happy. We only need to express our displeasure and she is right back in line again. I like the suggestion that you check out the Aussie rescue pages. I have looked at these animals many times dreaming that we could afford another pet. As with any breed, there are as many temperments as there are dogs. I'm sure you could find the one for you. Love my Aussie! Comments (5)You could try the Fruit and Orchard forum (linked below), or if it's in a container, there's also a Container Gardening forum on GW. I just planted a dwarf peach tree a few weeks ago, and I'm still waiting for it to leaf out, so that I know it's alive. Hope you find an answer! Bonnie Here is a link that might be useful: Fruit and Orchards Forum...See MoreOT but about this site & what I just saw Here
Comments (7)I haven't seen it since, thanks folks for answering my question. It's not that I'm such a prude, per se, it's that THIS is not the place for that. Also, it's a close up enough than if one saw the ad one would understand immediately the nature of my objection, it verges on pornographic. In writing to GW about it, I asked that they respond to me in writing, I'll see if they do. I often get small ads on the side that seem context sensitive & some banners across the top where this was. Stush, I looked for where to adjust the Ads & I don't see it in 'Settings' which is what I find in the upper right on my monitor. Thanks again folks....See Morereally ot!! but we have lots of builders in here!!
Comments (50)one year, i got so tired of having stuff up in the attick, so i carried everything in crates to the basement, well, that spring/winter, we had soooo much rain that our basement had flooded, and it flooded so much that it went up to the middle of the height, i never knew this, everyone kept talking about their basements flooding so it got my curiosity up. so i finally went down there, and danged if it didnt. we lost alot of stuff. but you could see the water line so it had sit there quite a while. ohhh man, i was so sad. not only that but man did it stink like sewage. so i knew that we had a leak from upstairs somewhere, OOOPS!! found that tooo!! loose wax, man those people who we bought the house from, i was not very happy about, they did not obviously know how to put the waxy stuff on the toillets!! orrrr...maybe it was my crazy kids playing with the toilette!
