Getting Ready For Spring

2018 seemed to fly by and it’s a new year. We we still harvesting greens from our fall/winter garden and making plans for Spring.

I started a flat of ornamentals today (two varieties of echinacea - Green Twister and “Mellow Yellows” mix, both from Baker Creek and a few Passion Flower vines). I have read conflicting information about stratification of the echinacea seeds and Baker Creek recommended starting them 8-12 weeks before the last frost. So I decided to start them today and just see what happens.

I have been growing microgreens and pea/sunflower shoots inside under grow lights as well.
