Broms in the Home
Comments (22)Wow you guys are really nice to say my greenhouse is a good thing. I appreciate it! If I lived in Sarasota and had a pool cage, it would look ***just like that***. Unfortunately, I live in Gainesville (where it is supposed to drop to 27, for ONE night, this Friday) and I have a pool, but not a CAGE. But, those photos DO give me some GREAT ideas for the greenhouse heh heh. The best and most mount friendly way I have found to mount bromeliads is to use wither old knee high panty hose to wrap over sphagnum moss, or aluminum electric fence wire, or the mesh bags that stuff like onions come in (knotted on each end with a fat pad of moss inside) and tied over the roots to the tree limb....See MoreWindow replacement in the PacNW: Collapse old frame, or cut out?
Comments (4)I am not a fan of collapsing the frames because you almost always disturb the flashing and there is no way to fix it. This is especially critical if your home gets a lot of weather. My vote is for the second company. Just be sure they tie into your old flashing and use compatible materials (flashing and caulk). Follow the ASTM and AAMA Installation Masters guidelines and you wouldn't go wrong....See MoreSmall living room with bay window
Comments (5)Do you intend to try to fit a TV in this room? Just for kicks try the sofa in front of the windows. Pull it out so the back is even with the walls and it doesn't go back into the bay. Then you could add a sofa table in the bay with one or two lamps. Are you keeping the stripes?...See Morefurniture arrangement for tiny living room with bay window
Comments (9)That Mantle Mount is brilliant. I recommend it, often. If you replace the coffee table with either C-tables as suggested, or a couple of nesting end tables - or a light-colored ottoman style coffee table - your space could appear less crowded, due to the mere fact that the sizeable dark sofa, combined with the equally dark coffee table, creates a dense look; so the current setup not only takes up physical space but visual space. Without the current coffee table, there would also be the added benefit of not having a coffee table with sharp edges/corners - which is a better choice with children afoot. As one example, this trunk style ottoman could also provide some closed storage, if that feature might come in handy for you....See MoreCelery. Visualization, Rendering images
