I'll Want an Area Rug for Our Bedroom
Comments (19)My floor is in. The room is small, about 12x12 not counting the nice small 2 reach in closets. The queen bed takes up a good share of the room, along with my mammoth dresser. I get a lot of bang for my buck with that dresser. New windows are in, new drapes. With all the moving of stuff around to get the windows in throughout the house and the floor put in, I can't find my pretty new duvet cover, that prompted all this fuss! Anyway I decided not to get a larger area rug. I love seeing the floors. Currently I have a nice fluffy bath mat on each side of the bed. They are cheap, easy to pick up to vacuum, and I can wash them periodically. Thank you all for helping with this project. I wished I had a larger bedroom to put in a lovely area rug, but I think my plan, like @Saypoint shows above, is the way to go. Below: can't find my bedding :0 I'm still looking, but in the mean time we sleep comfortably with this summer weight quilt. My bed is a 12" Latex bed that I 'm finding is quit nice. I should have got the 5" foundation instead of the 8", because its a little tall. Each side is a different soft/hard combo. Tonight DH and I are going to swap sides to see if my softer top layer is to his liking, compared to his medium top layer, though this is a different thread in the conversation side of home deco....See MoreMaster bedroom area rug

Comments (2)With all the movement in your beautiful wood and the patterned comforter, I would look for a solid color rug in one of the colors from your comforter. You could probably find an inexpensive remnant at a local carpet store, have it cut to your exact measurements and have it bound. Good luck!pist picswhen you find what you are looking for....See MoreBedroom Area Rug Colors??
