Who sells the best memory foam furniture or sofa?
Comments (3)rmanbike, Thanks for the input. Yes it is not a solid memory foam cushion. If it was solid memory foam it might be too soft? IDK I Opened up the Charles cushion and it was 7" of white foam with blue gel memory foam wrapped around the core. The sofa I have now is considerably more comfortable, it is like a Tempurepedic sofa. I have a bad back and the few inches of memory foam helped relieve a lot of pain and discomfort. I am just wondering if I had even more memory foam it would make my back feel even better. At this point in my life, having dealt with pain for so long I am going to try every non medical avenue I can. I have a feeling that if I was 100lbs lighter the cushion would be perfect, so i guess I might not need twice the thickness but twice the density? If only this was a foam expert forum. lol...See MoreMemory foam on the bed
Comments (4)We have a 4 in topper on our California king size bed. It is covered with a quilted cotton mattress pad. On one of these threads or forums recently there was a long discussion among people who thought their toppers made them very hot while sleeping. We have never found that to be the case but it has always been covered with the mattress pad. We've had our topper for five years and are very happy with it. I can't say about deep pocket sheets because my bed is Cal King. I use a queen size flat sheet for the bottom sheet with those straps that look like garters in the four corners. They work like a charm to hold the bottom sheet in place. Sherry...See MoreHow thick is your memory foam mattress cover?
Comments (9)I did a lot of research on true memory foam before purchasing, it was invented by NASA...and it adjust to your body temp. an it works I am always warm, Dh always cold but in bed just about perfect! and it perfectly aligns your body so no pressure points, have never seen 5Lb. density but mine is Tempurpedic at 4 Lb. density, have it prob. 4 years at least and it is exactly same as when we got it, and we are no light weights by any stretch of the imagination..we also got the Q pillows not core filled but solid mem foam and a real pillow not contured,we love our bed too, first thing Dh say's as we climb in is..."Hello bed" a friend is so sorry she got a pillowtop mattress, right before she discovered mem foam, I talked her into the pillows after spending a fortune on pillows for years and still having neck pain/headaches, now she takes it with her when she travels, and don't anyone try to take it away from her...LOL NO more pain! You can not beat the prices at O in any stores, you will simply get ripped off.....See MoreMemory foam insulation
Comments (5)I couldn't open the picture either. I've made window quilts in another home, that I could open and close that really helped. They are made from layers of fabric/insulation/vapor barrier and completely fill in the window - tight to the frame with velcro or plastic magnets - not hung from above the window. I've also taken rigid foam insulation cut to fit, dolled it up with some nice fabric, and used it in the e-gress windows in the basement. I now have bubble wrap on the windows as additional insulation that have made a huge difference, even in a new home with energy efficient windows. See link below for more information. You might try to locate a copy of "Movable Insulation" by William K. Langdon. Lots of great ideas in this book. -Grainlady Here is a link that might be useful: Bubble Wrap Window Insulation...See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
