Raven, that's my fear with the metal straws!! I've broken too many teeth the past few years. Just a couple of months ago I split a tooth right in half to the root eating popcorn!! I had a hard plastic straw that came with my lidded cup, but it was straight, and I kept hitting the roof of my mouth so I started buying plastic straws. Then when I was given these I feel like I should use them. They're noisy too, rattling around in my cup. My whole package of plastic straws has a hole in the bend, I gurgle air when I use them. :-(

I am going back to my childhood. It has been 57 years since I left that green house where I grew up. A tiny coal mining town where everybody knew everybody and looked after one another. This pic taken 3 years ago. Things have changed. That is a creek bed you see between the parking lot and the road in front of the house. When I lived there, a railroad track ran between the creek and the road, like about 30 feet from the house. Steam engine trains traveled that track to the coal mine where my Dad worked a mile up the road. Dirty, noisy thing! But, to go back to those carefree, happy days would be ok....at least for a little while.

@socks....it's on a light timer. ha ha Yes...if I'm cutting fabric on that table...it's main purpose in MY life....they have to GET-OFF-THE-FABRIC. ☺ They're always ready for a nap...so cute...my kittens! ♥ It also makes it look like someone's home AND....my one kitten seems to be waking up, every now and then...with bad dreams. I don't want hm to be confused about where he is. He's safe....now.
