Thanks for comments to date - sorry I kind of lost track of things...had some medical issues/surgery over the summer, so finally getting back to the MBR (all is going well, fortunately!) For the toilet room, weedyacres suggested the possibility of removing the wall between the toilet and the main bathroom if it is ever needed for accessibility - and that's exactly what we have in mind. Honestly, I suspect that the pocket door won't get closed often anyway... Weedyacres also wasn't overly comfortable with the walk-through area (which was the original bathroom). The idea of making that more linen closet space is interesting. It's not quite big enough for a dressing room, but I want to get some good use from the space. Unfortunately, the wall between that space and the main bedroom area is a load-bearing wall, so it can't just be removed, or even easily moved in towards the bedroom, which I was initially thinking about. Lastly, the small linen closet area behind the door into the can't easily be combined with the main closet behind it, since there are heating ducts in that wall going to the 2nd floor. This space has a number of quirks that have to be worked around, and that's one of them.... But - We've come up with an idea of arranging the room in a "wet room" style - and I mocked up a pretty rough sketch with HomeDesigner It still doesn't fix the issue of the old bathroom / walkthrough space, but it would make the bathroom possibly more interesting, and allow for a larger & more accessible shower space. We're envisioning a slight sloping shower pan, & trench drain, and a glass divider to keep the water in the shower area, while keeping the room "open" feeling. The sitting room is a strange little space - but we use it as an office (there are built-in bookshelves and file/desk space along the outer walls). So between the "office" use, and the big windows that look out into the woods, we didn't want to lose that space or the view. Architect thinks this might be interesting, and is playing with the specifics of making it work. Am I missing anything awful? Thanks!

Oh thank you very much mellyc123. I really like the bernhardt franco if I had seen it a year and a half ago I think that is what I would have gotten for their reviews are splendid. My sofa is fine but the company has very mixed reviews. I had to return my first sofa for a bent frame and had no issues in doing so and I think frame was damaged in delivery. It is about 18months old and looks the same as when I got it and this is the tv room for a 5yo and 1yo who eat, climb and jump from time to time on the furniture. I just had hoped for less cushions on the sofa. I also did regret getting the same chair and ottoman but hubby thought it was more comfy than the roll arm I had wanted instead. The sofa is made by English and is called the Paige. It was supper inexpensive, like only a bit more than ikea, when it was on sale, but near me furniture stores always have sales:) I paid $175 extra for a fabric change and mine is covered in a velvet called crave lagoon but I do not think they have this choice any longer. I hated the color at first but now like it. Intially I thought it was golden girlish seafoam blue. The coffee table is overstock, the sofa side table is a nate berkus from HSN really cheap and it kinda shows and the chair side table was a tag sale item but homegoods sometimes use to have them. I do really love having the tightback sofa I had to "make" my old one every day but this stays in place all the time and it very comfy too. So we are in the midst of the paint job- wallpaper removal from entryway and upstairs hallway--------painting that area, 2 "kids' rooms' - guest bedroom, guest bathroom, master sitting room, office laundry room and so on. The hallway took 3 days to get the wallpaper down and is just being prepped/primed for paining, will be Divine White. So the Big Happy Surprise that for the guest bedroom and one daughter's room I selected Modern Gray just to switch it up from the more comfy beiges and blues. I figured it was light enough but gray enough and those 2 rooms have been painted, and it looks great! They are not finished yet, but I have to say what a great color. The other rooms have not been painted yet (and will be accessible beige) and I am sure I will be delighted but the Modern Gray was a a real happy surprise. Great color.

Hello. You have a very busy floor and I would suggest solid colored surfaces you add. I like the idea of a drafting desk rather than the natural pattern I have seen in live edge wood. Also, if the reclaimed wood doors are similar in color to your floors, it think it would be overload.
