I generally try to find some gift to carry the money. This year, I found some water bottles that are also bluetooth speakers. I think the teens will like them. The speakers aren't high quality, but they give me a way to present the cash that is a little more interesting than an envelope. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I have a hard time handing someone an envelope with cash as a gift.

Water bottle speakers? I will have to look that up!

Usually some kind of box with heavy, rattle-y things in it :-)

Sometimes put them in a giant box stuffed with newspaper or something else so it doesn't make noise. I've also just put them in their stockings.

I prefer the card in an envelop method as I have seen too many gifts with money in them either tossed in the trash or recycled because the outside of the gift was not to the person's liking. You can attach the card to something or even wrap it but never inside unless it is a bank in an area that expects some type of money to be inside a bank. Husband grew up with putting money in a bank I did not.

I only do it for kids. The teens could care less how its packaged, they just want the card lol. For little ones, I get quarters, and put them in piggy banks. Hoping they learn to add to it.

You all are so clever! I wrap the gift cards in a box. We give our grands money for college (they're in pre-school and kindergarten) and so we just hand the money to their parents.

I learned I have to be careful in how I present gift cards. Once I was giving two kids gift cards attached to wrapped candy bars. I gave one to the first child and was with her as she opened it and found the GC. Her sister was asleep, so I asked her to give the other candy bar + gift card to her sister later.... I found out the sister had not noticed the GC and threw it in the trash with the wrapper. Luckily, it was still there when I told her to go look for the GC with the wrapping paper.

So however clever you make the presentation, make it obvious that there is a card, too.

I usually attach it to a package of M&Ms, or for my FIL, a can of cheese puffs. (FIL likes to receive gas cards for his motor home travels.) We open gifts as a group, and generally one at a time, so I watch to make sure the person actually sees the card.

Really, wonderful ideas....but, please....don't cut up a book. Makes me shudder. If

you have old books you don't want...please donate them. But, sorry to complain...I

really love most of the unique ways to give the gift cards.

I made a tool box holder to hold a gift card to Lowes for our son-in-law and a clutch type purse for our daughter's card. One year I sent her an egg carton with plastic eggs in it and put money in each egg. I saw a cute idea using an empty small pizza box....pizza dough (money).

Wow, you all really are creative. I just put in a money card or regular greeting card, seal the envelope and then add curling ribbon and or a sticky bow. Then, usually, DD will get out pens and stickers and decorate the envelope with the receipient's name and other fun embellishments.

Not really creative, but something I wrapped today. They have a really nice apartment, but it doesn’t have a washer or dryer and no hookup for it. I got a couple of funny videos of them just putting in quarter after quarter into the machine at the laundromat. Apparently it takes a lot of them up there in NY.

With gift cards and money I buy a nice card with the person's name on it, punch a small hole in corner of card, and run ribbon through it and hang it on the tree.

I once made a candle for my nephew. I rolled up each bill and tie them around the candle with a nice ribbon. LOL, it impressed my nephew so much that he didn't want to take them apart to use the money.

Another time, I placed the gift cards inside empty CD cases so, I could easily wrapped them.
