Living Room Paint Color Help/Advice Needed
Comments (22)One more suggestion-- Fieldstone. Kinda gray, kinda green, kinda blue. I sampled it in my kitchen/family room but I didn't want any blue, so I nixed it, but I still think it's a great color. Here is a link that might be useful: [Fieldstone[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/bay-area-remodel-transitional-bedroom-san-francisco-phvw-vp~5560250)...See MoreDining & Living Room Color Paint Advice Needed
Comments (30)Can I also second getting a local color consultant to come to visit this very pretty home? I have also had tons of luck calling the SW color line (and its free!). They helped me out of a color jam a few years ago and just recently again. I painted my outside trim SW Fleur de Sel. It was a mistake. It can read very blue-gray. I was heartbroken but it was too late. Now I needed to paint my front door and it needed to coordinate with my reclaimed orange brick and now this odd trim color. My husband wanted a yellow and wanted to pick SW Sunny Day. I about cried. The SW phone line came to the rescue (with no pics nonetheless) and suggested Colonial Yellow. It looks fabulous. They have been so nice on the phone every time. Now I have not had the same luck with BM phone line, but did use one of their local home consultants once and it was a pretty good experience....See MorePaint advice for north/west facing living room + kitchen
Comments (1)Why do you feel you need to consider colors that you dont like? Houses are to be enjoyed by the people that live there. You dont have to be trendy. Personally, I dislike anything tan, or beige, greige or green, so no matter how trendy, I wouldnt use them anywhere in my house. I do like gray, but that gray paint must look gray, and if any undertones, they must be blue, not the purple or green that some grays have. Put colors on your wall, that appeal to you, and that will make you smile. I use a lot of turquoise in different shades, because it makes me happy. Apparently, it makes others happy too, since I recently had someone tell me, they liked coming in my house, and found themselves staying longer than they meant to because, the colors make them happy and make them feel good....See MoreEdgecomb Gray living room with adjoining dining room color advice?
Comments (2)You should paint them the same color, but the dining room will seem darker (more intimate) because it gets less light. Dining rooms are mainly used at night so a dark color is appropriate....See Morehollybar
