Stone selected, please weigh in on sink/backsplash...
Comments (6)Very nice selections--I love everything you've chosen and think they will all look terrific together! You picked a gorgeous, soothing palette, and your finished kitchen will look very stylish and elegant. One thing to note--if the glass tile (for your splash) is not low-iron (starphire) glass, it will likely "read" blue-green at different times of day/in different lighting. We have the Opera Glass in the Stilatto pattern from Artistic Tile on our backsplash--the color is Wolfgang White, and it does not look truly white/clear (it's NOT starphire glass). Not saying this is a bad thing (we love ours!!!!), but wanted to give you a heads-up in case that's not the look you want. FYI, they do have some other colors in the beige-taupe family if you do opt against the white....See MorePLEASE Help choosing pendent light and light fixture
Comments (3)This space really needs recessed lights. You will never have a better time to do it than now, when you have to replace the ceiling drywall and access to electrical will all be open. I would get rid of the fan/light and replace with recessed lights. I would also not add any pendants over the breakfast bar. It will just look cluttered. Again, just go with recessed lights over the breakfast bar. I don't understand how you have the budget to add pendants, but not recessed lights?...See MorePlease suggest a dining light fixture for eat-in kitchen
Comments (4)Erica -- Yes, it is a raised dishwasher cabinet. We remodeled 18 years ago and I saw it in the Shrock cabinet catalog. It was called the "beautiful back saver". Really only works on the end of a cabinet run. I love it! The top seems to be our junk collector in the kitchen!...See Moreplease help me choose a light fixture
Comments (0)We are converting our never-used dining room to I guess what could be described as an elevated mudroomish type space. It's still under construction, but I need to choose a light fixture to replace the builder grade chandelier that's been there for years. The room dimensions are 11' x 12' 6". The countertop still needs to be installed and it's Calacatta Abezzo. Any suggestions for a light fixture?...See Moreschnable1
