? about Choosing a Color for a Climber
Comments (5)Thanks for all of your helpful comments! I'm not familar with "Royal Sunset" and it does look pretty. However, I think I will go ahead with my first impulse with "Don Juan". My DH has always said that he likes red roses best, and my preference had been for pastels...but in my mind's eye I can picture the DJ growing up the arbor with Huldine clematis. I'm not too worried about thorniness because DH does the pruning and he doesn't complain about "New Dawn" which is pretty thorny. I usually spend my time at the Soil, Compost, & Mulch Forum and I thought those guys were pretty funny...but after reading your post, amadahugg, about the Color Police, I have to admit that you guys have a great sense of humor too! (Thanks for setting me free me from needlessly fretting about color choices.)...See MoreWT-what kind of top?
Comments (12)thank you suero. I appreciate everyone's opinions..Is a pattern preferable to a stripe? Lost my sense of direction..I dont know if the drapes should tie in the color from the rug or keep the drapes neutral and use the orangey-rust in the accessories. thanks for looking. Here's a couple more, Open to any suggestions... a textured solid, close to my sofa color a stripe color looks right but the does pattern clash? I only have shades on all the other windows in my home, except a doorwall and one bedroom, so this is hard for me to visualize....See MoreWhich color scheme looks best on our 1940s home? (see pics)
Comments (26)Paler gray on the bricks; deeper darker gray on both of the eaves .... white columns; black front door (add silver knocker) -- and please paint the downspout in the same color as the brick! LOL! :) Just teasing! :) No shutters at all .... If possible .... add lighting by the front door -- and in the garden. Add a white-painted round vent at the top of both of the eaves. Remove original plantings -- and expand the garden beds -- and make them flank the walkway. Add some larger gray rocks in several spots and a variety of height in the new plantings. Add vintage garden chairs or a white bench to the front porch....See Morechoosing dining room colors gold or red?
Comments (7)LOL thanks!!! The color above is Baked Cumin by Benjamin Moore. Sort of looks like gingerbread...very warm goldish brown color. Well hubby wants red as well...so looks like that is what it will be!...See Moredyliane
