I suspect if you change to all whites, they won't be exactly the same shade of white, either. Pre-update, I had a white sink and a couple of white appliances and none of them were exactly the same shade of white, nor did any of the whites match the off-white cabinets nor the white countertop appliances (coffeemaker, coffee grinder, microwave). If your granite is as drop-dead-gorgeous as it sounds, THAT is what will be noticed! I agree with yesdear (love that name!) that you could switch the faucet and keep everything else off-white. Or have you checked to see if you can just switch the white handles? Some faucets come with a choice of tip colors and can be changed.

The frame does take up space, which is why many people with smaller kitchens who may like the framed look opt for frameless anyway so that they don't lose that precious extra space. For example, my cabinet door sits inside the box instead of outside of it, so I lose 3/4" (the thickness of my door) of space inside the cabinet. My drawer fronts are even thicker -- 1 1/2" -- so every drawer has 1 1/2" less space inside than a comparable frameless drawer. Hope that makes sense. I knew I was going to lose some space, but I loved the look of the faceframe inset cabinets so much, and my kitchen is pretty big. Here is rmkitchen's kitchen. She has frameless cabinets but her kitchen reminds me of your inspiration kitchen because her cabinetmaker used trim to make her doors/drawers appear inset. She wanted to get maximum usage of space. I don't see it clashing..black and brown-one of the world's most popular combinations..if it exists in nature a lot it can be in a room too..that's what I believe in these two are interesting colors to bring together, and all the pieces share some very similar sensibility so to say repeat the colors, even if in small things..you know what you're drawn to, in sense of style..I think you'll figure it out different legs wouldn't bug me as long as they have similar though behind them(simple, streamlined in this case..or similar in shape somewhat..)if anything I'd go not for metal but for other material..can't see what the black chair's legs are?..

Thank you, but to be clear, it's not an option to repaint the trim and moulding a different color, because it's the same throughout the house and we're only repainting one room. We're the ones who painted it 17 years ago, and we still have the same color, which is off-white. We'll repaint the trim with the original color so it looks new, but my husband is vehemently against repainting the trim in a different color, so that's not an option. Not worth getting a divorce over, ha ha! So, back to the question, if the moulding is off-white, (cream, even) will the ceiling look weird if it's white? Is it better to have the moulding and the ceiling the same color (off-white)?
