Tablet (and other) people, I could use some guidance.

Issues with my vision have reached the point where I have to get strict with myself about minimizing time spent at my computer. I hope this won't be permanent, but in the meantime I need a way to write. Looking at my tablets isn't nearly as uncomfortable for me as looking at my computer monitors, so I'm wondering if I would be able to use a larger Android tablet (10" or so) with a keyboard attached to it. Is that sort of thing done?

Perhaps there's a better option? What about something like a Chromebook? I know nothing about them, but I saw one at Sam's Club and it looked like something I could learn to type on. (I'm a fast typist on a regular keyboard, but never did anything with a laptop.)

Ideally, I'd like something that creates files I can convert to Word so I can store them on my computer and print them. Am I dreaming? ;-)

Thanks for your help!
