I Hate My New Marble-Like Countertops

L. K

I had a vision for my dream kitchen and begged the hubby to agree to remove and donate our perfectly good granite countertops in order to replace them with a quartz marble like countertop.

What I thought I purchased were countertops that had a bright white base with grey veining. We have a small space with little lighting, so I was going for a more modern, bright white kitchen with grey accents.. I HATE yellowish and brown tones. After much convincing and drastically exceeding our budge

INSTEAD, I have what I’m calling “buttermilk” base and brownish veins.

I’m sick to my stomach at the waste of $, as I only wanted to spend the money in order to accomplish my vision which I knew would be worth it. I am TRYING so hard to not take this too seriously. There are so many more important things going on in the world, but I’m so disappointed.

Any suggestions on salvaging my vision is much appreciated!
