Exterior color help, please
Comments (2)I think it would look fine to go with the cream trim as long as trim is far enough away from your white windows that it won't be such a noticeable contrast--- just pick a creamy white, but not too creamy. We're planning to do a "cottage white" or BM Acadia White trim. We're having the same dilemma....See MoreQUICK exterior paint color help!! Please :)
Comments (4)I love a gray/ green on thiss tyle of house with the brick left as is. I would remove those overgrown hedges and new front door. IMO a walkway from the street always makes a home feel more welcoming than one from the driveway. That also gives you a more important entry so the new door would help. Could you take a pic of the entry straight on .As in the pic I sent the garage door is the same color as the house , if you wanted to add sone natural cedar to the mix and you need a new garage door you could do that in the natural cedar....See Moreexterior paint color help please!!!
Comments (14)If the wood is painted brown and not stained then I think a full paint job would look wonderful. It's a beautiful house. I agree with emmarene about not having the garage door as a focal point. If you can't afford a full paint job maybe just paint the forest green a darker version of the siding for some contrast and paint the garage as close to the siding color as possible. If you find you are able to fully paint the options are endless and depend on your preference. But here's an example with some updated lanscaping: I would definitely remove the junipers on the left hand side. They are a bit gnarly and overpowering. Maybe you can add some symmetry by having planters on the left and right of the driveway (see above image) with mirroring or similar plantings. I think some plants with light green foliage would add some interest as well. Options depend on your location....See MoreStill seriously struggling with exterior colors. Help please!
Comments (32)I agree with others. Right now the house doesn’t look cohesive, too many colours. I’d go with blue and white trim. Keep the garage door same colour as the house colour. Add some warmth with a cedar coloured front door, and some large box shaped cedar planters strategically placed on your way to the front door. I’d consider adding skylights, below each narrow window, to the roof of the front porch. It appears no matter what you do there, the porch seems to be the large dark hole, that stops you from playing up the front entrance more....See MoreJennifer Luhm
