Caulk color between black counter and clear white glass tile?

My countertop is Silestone Tebas Black, my tile is snow white (clear) glass with bright white grout, and grout lines will be 1/16" wide.

Two questions:

1) Should the caulk line between the bottom row of tile and the countertop match the grout...so essentially, white caulk? I bought 100% silicone white caulk although staff where tile was purchased recommended clear (presume that they were referencing translucent clear rather than "clear" clear).

2) Is a 1/16" gap between the tile and countertop sufficient or should it minimally be 1/8"? I prefer 1/16" although I'm not certain whether that width is sufficient when considering settling.
