October 2017 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (7)12 greats! Wow! Congratulations! I think we will be stuck at 2 for a very long time. Sewing for October? Just last night I put away the one(s) I have been working on, or at least I cleared the kitchen table. Next weekend is Cdn. Thanksgiving and at least one family be coming for dinner. So really must do some cleaning. The basement redo is in limbo until the insurance people come to do an estimate. Then the challenge will be to find a contractor who can fit us in. Over 6000 homes were flooded, so these guys will be plenty busy. I had wanted to do some Christmas sewing but first I have to find my fabric. I know it is here somewhere in one of these rooms. Stuff everywhere! But sew I will, just not sure on what. Theresa...See MoreJune, 2018 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (3)First on the list is to get the basement organized. Everything was brought back down yesterday and because we have flipped what was in back to front and vice versa, it means a whole lot of rejigging. I am very lucky to have half the basement for my space and I would like it to be set up in a workable fashion. Next I would like to do a quilt or two for Jackie. I am also waiting for the two quilts for DGGDs to come back from the LAQ. That will mean binding. I think that will keep me busy for June. Theresa...See MoreJuly, 2018 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (16)Whoa! Do you people ever sleep??? Anyway, the one (and only) project that I have going that I'd like to finish is the quilt using the first set of Kaffe Fassett charm squares that I gifted myself with. I'm almost done with the quilting. I finally kept my promise to try to "loosen up" and not have such tedious tight quilting, I'm doing a simple, open meandering FM on it. I have my eyes on a quilt I saw in a magazine and I will be getting onto my EQ program to try to work it out since I'm too cheap to buy the pattern. I still have two sets of charm packs to work with....See MoreNovember 2018 Quilting/Sewing Goals
Comments (10)I love going to bazaars, Theresa. Let us know what all they had for sale. Donna, I think once you put your mind to do your project, it probably won't take long. Larri, Eight Tuesdays??? YIKES! Rita, Inspiration comes at the most unexpected times so be ready. :-) Bev, You have quite a list going there. Did you get pillowcases made for your DD? I have one heart block made and another block that was requested for a comfort quilt. In fact, I was able to use an orphan block I had and turned it into a square in a square to get the proper size. Yea me......one more orphan block used. I also was able to move the ear from over the nose of the dog to it's proper spot and am ready to get going on that again. That unstitching wasn't fun at all....See Moremsmeow
