Comments (5)Very common this time of year. Just old leaves being discarded by the tree, which signals the beginning of a new growth flush. When old leaves are no longer capable of producing their quota of photosythates, they are discarded by the tree. Comments (5)The bunches of foliage look like a normal growth flush to me, my trees did the same thing this spring so I wouldn't worry about that. I agree with bacon that it looks like some sort of moss on the branches but I don't know if it is harmful or not, I would clean it off just for good measure....See MoreHelp my banana trees leaves what’s wrong
Comments (5)Hello Nicole thanks for your response I live in New Jersey And this winter doesn’t want to leave we are in April and the weather is still in the 40 the only day that it was nice was last Friday I have them in my dining room table we’re the sun hits a few hours a day but I am confused because I don’t know if I put to much fertilizer on it or it needs more I only add water when the moisture meter is between moist and dry so it around every two days I hope I did not hurt the roots when I check the moisture on the soil with the two sticks that are in the middle of the meter almost all the leaves including the new ones cumin out the tips are brown I don’t know what to do can you tell me if you can how to measure how much fertilizer to add on a 6” pot once the weather gets nice I will plant on the ground I got two musa rajoo and one tiny tiny and buy the water your banana tree are looking great can you tell me what fertilizer number are you using I am used 5-5-5 thanks again for all your help...See More- 5 years ago
