Help with Pink Princess Philodendron

I recently got my hands on this little pink princess philodendron. There are two leaves, and the larger damaged leaf has a stem that is bent..not completely broken, but bent. The leaf flops over without any support holding it up. This is my first philodendron so I haven't dealt with this issue before. I had been looking for one, and this one was so reasonably priced. I couldn't pass up taking it home to try nursing it back to health. Any advice recommendations, tips, or tricks on care are all welcome. Thank you in advance :) (Questions and pics below)

1. Will the plant be okay with this stem issue? It looks like it's newly rooted, and I do not want to cut the bent stem since the plant is still so young I'm afraid that would kill it.

2. Would tying the bent stem up against a bamboo stick help?

Tying it up would be a good idea. If the leaf is of no use to the plant (which will eventually happen) it'll go yellow and drop off. But at present it's providing food for the plant through photosynthesis. That will help it grow new leaves faster.

Thank you! I tied it up yesterday after the post:) You are spot on about the yellowing. I noticed a small piece of the leaf today was turning yellow where the leaf is torn. Glad I didnt cut the leaf off because I was tempted! Hoping it will produce new leaves. Thanks again for your comment I appreciate it!

give us a pic of the whole .. all plant shed leaves.. either due to age.. or stress .. sometimes we just pluck them off .. sometimes we see something that needs to be addressed ... but for sure.. we can not tell much from a pic of one leaf ... what just changed in its life??? .. did you just buy it.. move it.. how do you water.. etc ... give us some facts about the plant besides the pic of one leaf ... and dont forget... with winter coming.. the declination of the sun has changed.. is it now in more sun than previously .... [BTW .. is it indoors or out???] and if that is all the damage.. just snip off that leaf .. and move on ... ken

if the bent area is still functional (the break not completely across) you can delay the decay by carefully wrapping a small piece (about an inch) of clear postage tape around the bend area.

not very tight but reasonably close to the stem. i apply a tape like this wrapping it on slight spiral to cover an inch below and an inch above the bend and usually it prolongs the life of the leaf. sometimes it even heals and the leaf lives on .

it would also be necessary to tie it to the stake loosely so it does not bend again in a different spot.
