No, it doesn't seem unfinished to me Even though I myself have too many (rather small) paintings, drawings, tiles and whatnot-but I usually try to keep some wall space bare.. I solve this by prompting some art rather than hanging it. But if a mirror will give you an amazing reflection of an already amazing view-I agree with everybody..I'd probably put a mirror..:) I'd make sure for it to be a bit different shape than rectangle...maybe an arch as was suggested, or an oval one, or a pagoda-shaped one..just to contradict that painting (which I love) a bit, with different lines It's a very nice room.

Thank you all so much for your comments. I guess I need more help with the layout and I appreciate all your advice. I agree..those plants need to go! Also, I realize now that I have to many chairs in the room. We have a large family and when we are together there is no place to sit. I just bought the blue chairs(They still have the tags on as I'm not sure what I need to do to pull this room together) I would live to get rid of the green chairs. But then I loose two more places to sit. It is an L-shaped living and dining room layout. I've always had trouble with this layout. I had the sofa on the wall where the TV is for 0ver 20 years. We just bought this sofa and put it in front of the window. The living room measures 11.5 x 19.5. It's pretty long. The rug I have is an 8 x 10. I'm not even sure that size works! The picture in the dining room which I love is the same size as the hearth of the fireplace but to tall to put over the mantle. Do you think it would work? Also, I only hung one drape in the dining room as the other one needed to be hemmed for some reason it was packaged wrong when I bought them. Anyways, your advice is very much appreciated!

Could the dresser work on the other wall facing bed, so bed can be centred, as you mentioned you like symmetry. When art and side lamps are added it will feel even more unbalanced. In regards to art above headboard, below is a example of 3 prints to help with height and spacing. Another idea is to add prints above side tables. Roman blinds would look nice, per first picture

I would hang decorative panels next to the existing shears to visually widen the window- you could even curtain that whole accent wall.
