Suggestions for shape of headboard for King sized bed?
Comments (9)I've linked below my favourite bedroom set from a pine & oak shop near us - we purchased new livingroom furniture from them this past spring and plan on buying the bedroom set from them in a year or two (need to save some money first!). I just love this set because of the high headboard and low footboard - it's a queen shown in the pic but easily imagined with a king which is what we have and our bed is screaming for some height as it too looks really wide in our room. tess Here is a link that might be useful: bedroom set...See MoreShould I Polyurethane my new headboard kitchen ceiling?
Comments (5)Thanks so much for the advice, I do have a couple guys who have done some work. Should I have them prime the ceiling while they are doing the walls and then I can paint it with a satin or a semi gloss? Yes, the ceiling in there is low, actually lower than 8ft its 7'4" !...See MoreCan you put California king headboard on standard king frame?
Comments (4)With seven million headboards online, why not get the right size? Otherwise a bargain it is NOT. If you want the bargain? A better install is to bolt the headboard legs to the WALL ( find the studs ) and shove the frame and its mattress up TO the headboard. To get flush to the wall? Cut away the base molding, and note if the headboard is open enough below, to allow access to any electrical outlets. Or....... screw a 1 x 4 cut to length to the back of the headboard, and drill and do that just below your mattress height. I do this for any custom upholstered headboards. They ALL shake unless bolted to the wall. Fame legs aren't enough, especially a standard metal "hollywood" type frame....See MoreIdeal height for a king headboard?
Comments (3)I don't think there's an "ideal" ratio of height to bed size. As long as it clears your pillows, it's ok -- beyond that, it's just the style of headboard that determines whether it deserves to dominate the wall or not....See Morejck910
