We had new quartz counter tops put in about 4 years ago and we would now like to replace the cabinets. The layout will stay the same.

Is it possible to use the same tops on new cabinets? It seems like such a waste otherwise.

I so agree with statements about doing all the remodeling at one time!!! I wished we had!

It's not impossible. It's just a matter of removing them carefully - there's always a chance of breakage.

That restricts you from tweaking the layout to improve it. Don’t lock yourself in to doing anything so foolish just because you did this in the wrong order and threw money away once. That’s throwing even more money away to not get the best layout that you can.

We ended up going with Pristine, and it's absolutely beautiful. It's been a year, and it looks brand new, no stains or issues. I love it even more than expected. My husband is thrilled and the whole room looks elevated. We used BM Simply White for the cabinets and SuperCore oak natural for the floors. Check my profile for pics in progress (old floors, tho). We've chosen Satori venatino marble subway tiles for the backslash and all these whites are compatible-- no issues with warm/cool undertones fighting. I'll be sealing the marble on all 6 sizes via a dunk in 511 sealer. Can't wait to see it finished-- the marble could've been risky against a marble-look quartz, but it looks absolutely perfect and gorgeous together.

Anyone have Silestone Royal Reef or Desert Silver quartz counter tops?

This is the only post I could find regarding Royal Reef Quartz. Do you think Royal Reef would go nicely with white cabinets (black hardware) and white subway tile. Our island is a color called Hale Navy. We have Maple light colored flooring. Most of our accents (stools, pendants) are a matte black and stainless. I’m worried the Royal will look too beige. The woman helping us with the quartz said the RR wouldn’t look beige that it would take on the color of the navy and white. I’m not convinced .... any advice? BTW your kitchen is beautiful! Thank you

Go look at slabs in person. Some I thought I liked I hated in the showroom. I am not into the very large veiny quartz counters that are out now, I like simple with some small pattern within. We went with santamargherita vermont (opus stone) and are very happy with it. A subtle pattern and true white background, didn't want yellow or gray.

I've gotten hair dye on my Cambria White Cliff (solid white) a few times and used some Clorox Cleaner+Bleach. Spray on, let sit for a 5 minutes, wipe and rinse with water. You might want to check the manufacturer website or call their customer support and have them suggest a product.

Short answer, yes, it's possible.

Definitely need to be careful removing. However, it also depends on how those tops were installed. I've seen some countertops installed where the installers used adhesive on top of the cabinets between the underside of countertop and top of cabinet instead of using a perimeter bead. If it is installed that way & you can't get to that adhesive, you run the risk of snapping the quartz.

I’ve seen answers both ways online so I wasn’t sure. The company still carries this quartz but
It could turn into a nightmare to try & make it
work I realize.

The layout isn’t an issue for us, it’s a small kitchen
With breakfast nook so it will stay the same.

Have you looked into just refinishing the cabinets?? I am not sure what shape your cabinets are in, but maybe you could just refresh them with new colors or stains and new hardware. There is probably a company in your area that does this without having to rip anything out.
