Comments (16)Ohhhh....this is gonna be so CUTE! I totally agree with bringing the curtains right up to the bottom of the bulkhead. It will make for a much more streamlined look. My only thought is that I think that where you have the level of the alphabet-rail it a tad too high. Don't feel compelled to go with the height of the bulkhead for your rail. Just ignore its existence. Look at Sarah's photo--she does not even do the letters over the curtains. I'd bring the rail down to the level that the current cornice. Then your letters will not look jammed up there either. I think it would do a lot to help the room feel less "tall" as well. Does this make any sense at all, LOL!...See MoreLiving room re-decorate--Plan B.... Still need advice!
Comments (22)For now, here's where I am: I've moved the sofa to the big wall, and the chair/round table grouping in front of the bay windows. I like it! I've also decided to return the floor lamp, it's just not working anyplace I put it. I really like Beverly's idea (photo) with the grouping of several framed prints above the sofa. I have 10 vintage (late 1800's) fern prints that I could use. They aren't framed, but are matted and have non glare glass held in place with clear gallery clips. However, I'm not sure they are any better "fit" than the bird poster……. I need to find three table lamps--two for each end of the sofa, and another for the round metal table between the two chairs. Here are my three finalists for the sofa end tables: I'd change the shade on this one--I don't like the pleats: All of these are about 27"-29" tall, so I'm thinking the scale would work. As far as the lamp between the chairs in the bay window--I definitely want something different, I've reached maximum matchy-matchy status with the end tables and lamps! Feedback? Thanks again! Comments (10)Pink can be cute with a fresh green, purple, grey, yellow/orange or soft browns. For my taste, I'd want to have something fun (and not overwhelmingly monotone) for a little kid that respects a kids playfulness, and babies tend to see contrast. https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/513598459/pretty-pink-vintage-blush-deer-bambi?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=fawn&ref=sc_gallery-2-1&plkey=a30bb3e95d52cad9d27f58643af3f55ef9774b82:513598459 https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/537123280/deer-family-woodland-nursery-decor-deer?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=fawn&ref=sc_gallery-2-4&plkey=a931313a810d0460455a000aebad4a87f874e7b4:537123280 https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/622155258/green-jeans-gardener?ref=listing-shop-header-1 https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/293224739/fawn-in-ferns?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=fawn&ref=sr_gallery-2-43&organic_search_click=1 https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/614343796/1979-mushroom-house-gnome-bowling-set?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=mushroom&ref=sr_gallery-1-45&organic_search_click=1 https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/129065230/pink-and-orange-elephant-print-16x20-art?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=pink%20and%20orange&ref=sr_gallery-1-45&organic_search_click=1 https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/502937925/flower-painting-floral-watercolor?ref=related-2 https://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/5836230-laughing-baby-elephants-monochrome-hot-pink-orange-by-micklyn https://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/454161-ortrud-a-by-helena https://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/7827958-surprise-party-smaller-by-katerhees https://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/6153525-7-butterfly-world-green-by-shopcabin https://www.spoonflower.com/fabric/6814266-call-mountains-pink-by-nouveau_bohemian https://www.jellycat.com/us/dancing-darcey-elephant-xyzdd6e/ https://www.jellycat.com/us/odell-octopus-xyzod2oc/ https://www.jellycat.com/us/kitty-tails-book-xyzbk444kt/ https://www.overstock.ca/Sports-Toys/Animal-Toys/featured/3186/subcat.html?featuredproduct=6388414&featuredoption=8633800&cid=269694&gclid=CjwKCAjw2MTbBRASEiwAdYIpseYYPA8DPIuZCiFFjExisxcZxZxibSvrX-Lzy7Htdm2Tj12cSFbfgBoCBHoQAvD_BwE https://www.amazon.ca/Folkmanis-Puppets-Funny-Puppet-Green/dp/B00KWI5YB0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1534192095&sr=8-2&keywords=folkmanis https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/10319719/ https://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/80266232/...See MoreHelp decorate the room with wall stickers.
